Why passive tree after bosses so shit?

Are ggg nuts? I kill them only to make last 40 challenge and drop game, but they added this upgrade system as mercs or affliction tree, but added that we don't get points, need take from ascendancy, and not to mention that most of it are bad shit, some useful require FOUR DAMN POINTS!...
Thats real shit decision, f can't be happy with it
