Fortress impossible with strike skills?

Fortress seems completely impossible with strike skills, even if I one hit kill everything, 50 mobs from 4 directions will kill Ailith every single time.

not just strike.
Melee that cant clear Screens of Mobs at once.

They dont kill me they just Swarm and kill her.

GGG needs to make it so the mobs Aggro YOU and not her.

I have AOE just not screen wide.


Its like GGG only tested Wand builds for this.

Iv failed every single one at around wave 20-22 when they just come from all directions

I can kill them in one hit but its only about 4-5 meters around ME and I have +90 movement so Im not slow. Its just they attack HER

I can second that. It would be easy and fair solution if Aislith would be more tanky or if we have constant Heal / shield options for her. Not only random. And heal should be stronger ....
we're talking about poe 1 right?

unlike poe2 which was designed from the ground up with melee in mind, poe1 is the opposite.

the recent melee damage buff back in settlers was the best/worst thing to happen for me.

it is the best thing ever coz finally i start to actually enjoy playing poe as a melee striker. let me correct myself. enjoy the game MORE. the game still is not trumelee centric.

why i say the damage buff is also the worst thing to happen is because it highlighted something to me. which is it felt like a blanket buff rather than a surgical one.

the ones crying that melee is bad are usually trumelee-ers.

most people who see melee as good, tend to be playing fullscreen clearer melee. the least melee feeling builds ever. like lightning strike.

the blanket buff shows to me that ggg didnt really make any considerations to the differences of the skills mechanically. its all the same to them.

but that said. i really dont see ggg suddenly balancing the game for trumelee enjoyers.

the ship is really long past sailed. "everyone" is enjoying the game with screen blasting skills.

at best, i think ggg could just give strike skills more damage or more range, or "strikes additional target" by default.

What did you expect, GGG is famous for making many skills useless, they dont adapt game so you dont need to play what you are forced to.

Still, 24 waves for crap prizes, not worth of hassle. You would clear entire map when you are done with breach fortress, better value in farming essences than completing 24 waves.
What would mr Siklic do if he was in this post?
