(3.27.0b) Breach fortresses still feel way overtuned.

To be fair, I'm still in the campaign (act 9, SSF). Maybe it's different in maps?

However, while I can take on mobs and bosses, I just can't do the breach fortresses, anymore. The monk lady just gets beat down by too many rare mobs. It just doesn't feel like it's worth the time. The loot is good, but the chance of getting it is too low.

I consider myself pretty casual. Should this central league mechanic be so unappealing to casual players?

What do you all think?

I allready posted 4 days ago that they failed with their changes to the breach .
Old breach system is better and more rewarding.

This new mechanics need to be removed from the game because it is definetly developed for POE2 since it use POE2 monsters.


This caused issues in loot system etc .
Maybe it's your build. I play Flameblast of Celerity Totems and I've never failed a fortress once.
Even with the nerf, range monsters have more range than me (melee ele hit)

I'm currently running t10/t11, i was running a T4 for map completion this morning.

Saw a fortress so i said imma try the nerfs. NPC dies like at wave 20 (used 2/3 heals on her too)

Mobs keep outranging me so if i go to attack the range on 1 side of her, some other range mobs of the other side just attack her.

I can whirling blade and attack them all when they come from 4 sides and just smash her before i can even hit them once.

If i stand directly on her i can kill all the melle mobs easy that come near, but the range mobs still outrange me.

It's not unfriendly towards casuals. You're playing a game that's balanced around trade and you're trying to do content using garbage you pick up off the floor.

And that's fine, but you should probably run a build that's more suitable for that content, namely whatever has crazy amounts of group clear. That should help compensate for the reduced power ceiling SSF can reach.
PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.

Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build!

I'm pretty sure your current build/setup is below the "casual" metrics. It's simply garbage and you need to learn how to make a proper build, esp. for SSF. About 9k elemental damage with a 80% hit chance on a melee build in Act 9 (lvl 72 btw)? Phew... You need serious help.
