Allow us to turn off other player VFX in towns

I play on GeForceNow and I have a perfect, seamless, wonderful time playing the game on that service, but as soon as I enter town it's like the entire computer is running on Windows 3.1. The sheer volume of VFX coming off players grinds the client to a halt and in many cases crashes GeForce Now. Is it too much to ask for a toggle? Please? Thanks in advance.
