Help for those who are in a hurry to buy items and fall for the bait

The instant purchase system is a cool innovation, right? The only downside to this feature is scammers. The first line of defense against scammers is, of course, attentiveness. But the game is so great that players can get caught up in the flow, get distracted, and make a mistake (just like anywhere else). Driven by emotion, scam victims can offer radical solutions that will ruin everyone's lives.

Therefore, I propose a gentle solution, a gesture of assistance that will only work if the player isn't on TikTok during the trade. Specifically, adding icons to items symbolizing their price. Writing out the exact price would be too time-consuming and cumbersome. Therefore, I think a tier system with loot filter icons would be better, where a white circle is 1c and below, a blue triangle is 2-20c, a purple square is 21-100c, an orange star is 101-500c, and a red radiation symbol is 501+c to infinity. Among items with a blue icon, an item with a red icon would stand out.

BUT. IMPORTANT. This doesn't solve the problem, and players still need to think before they act. Adding an easy solution can create a false sense of security. And items worth 20c can sell for 100c, still committing acts of scam.

So, take care of yourself, your time, your nerves, and be happy.

I think devs should have some reasonable measures so players are not get scammed. This could be not so easy, but still these suggestions could be a starting point.

GGG should just delete async trade and post a disappointed dad message with the patch.

We gave you what you wanted, only to have the community prove they werent responsible enough to use it correctly. This is why we cant have nice things, we hope everyone enjoys going back to unanswered whispers.

For the record, i like async and think everyone should just be more cautious. But the memes would be worth losing it.

GGG implemented what was asked. Now they are supposed to do sth against the most obv scam that everybody knew was coming before league start? Nah, deal with it or use the trade site. YOur item has a purple frame, no scamming there. Everythign else is your own responsibility.
