Vram critical

Since the last update, i'm having this issue with the vram, whenever hit alt+tab or after some time, the textures go bye-bye with my FPS.
I use the lowest setting + dynamic resolution targeting 30FPS.
If there is some fix, please, let me know!

CPU: i5 9600KF
RAM: 16gb
GPU: GTX 1050 2gb
Mobo: H310M

Their last big update definitely changed something - but I'm not sure how much better Path of Exile will run on that system going forwards. The GTX 1050 was a weak card when it was first released back in 2016 - it probably is time to consider an upgrade or replacement.

Considering AMD were selling an 8 GB RX 480 for 229 USD in 2016, we need to be realistic about how much longer game developers are going to support 2 GB cards given it's now 2025.

A 2024 $250 Intel Arc B580 has six times the VRAM of your GTX 1050, which should definitely resolve the issue you're posting about. On the second-hand market, it's tough to offer a specific recommendation without knowing your budget & location - if you want something with a bit of 'oomph', you could go for a used / second-hand 2021 12 GB RX 6700 XT - if you want to spend less, even a 2017 8GB RX 580 should be a fairly major upgrade for you.

Before making any purchases, just 1) check - and then double-check! - your power supply unit has both the capacity and the connectors required for that particular graphics card, and, 2) run a quick google search for the particular graphics card if you're buying used. Broadly speaking - the older a used card is, the less likely it is to last long into the future.

As for troubleshooting during the interim... I'm really not sure, to be honest. Are you using Vulkan, DirectX 12, or DirectX 11? Have you tried all 3 to see which works best?

Alt-tabbing out of the game will cause other stuff to be loaded into your card's rather limited VRAM - I'm not surprised to hear that it's exacerbating the problem.
