Overall Loot

So, I can't help but see there was something done to the loot. I'm not talking about divine or anything, i'm talking in general. Everybody talk about how the womb give insane thing, and i'm totally ok with this statement, the real problem, to me at least, is that womb doesn't drop. All the way up to T15 I usually get 1 womb every 4 map, even with stabilized breach or perfect clear or Ailith. Breach is my favorite content by far, i'm kinda sad that you can't do 8-11 breach per map this league but eh, guess it's okay, there is still blight and legion for loots, but the general loot is seriously bad outside the womb, and they don't drop that often AT ALL. Not even talking about hive, saw one in T4 or 5, and not a single one afterward in about 70 maps I'd say ? Absurd. There is a lot of bubblegum currency, which is good, but where is everything else ? Also, map drop is kinda atrocious at this point, I have some trouble sustaining what I have, still do it though, I just have to juice my map a lot for any same tier to drop, but new maps ? Eh, it's another story. Maybe I'm just unlucky, but still, i'm doing maps in group as the host and we're amazed at how bad it is compared to let's say Kalguur. Also, the constant disconnection, freeze and lag spike on a fiber cabled desktop computer is insane, my friend got 7 disconnection this night alone and I rage quitted after my 5th in an hour, it never happened before. Maybe it's the lag, maybe I'm incredibly unlucky (honestly it might be that), but the loot is so bad that it still happen quite frequently on strongboxes or even at the end of a breach in T15-T14 that my filter (which is permissive as hell) simply show me gold and a ring, sometime nothing at all. Fun fact though, I never gained that much gold even in Kalguur, so the gold drop rate seems finely tuned .-. Last bumped on Nov 7, 2025, 10:59:13 PM

Tried stacked desk, in 3.26, maybe 70 per maps.
now it's 20. This is so annoying. |

" For the loot mechanic, true, for everything else ? Eh, nah. I have 780h in PoE, about 1000+ in PoB, I participated in the beta and lost my account, I know where we come from, and I know how to use the forum, of course it was the first thing I did, saw the league mechanic, saw that it will be adressed next week yada yada, but the stability issue ? Not a word, and it's the worst it's been for years. The GENERAL drop ? Not a word, they said other mechanics, not anything else, and they say it will be adressed more in 3.28, meaning in 4 months time, not in the next patch, and if you played PoE as much as I did, which I know you did seeing your badges, you know wording is one of the most important thing in PoE, so when they say "other mechanics" and "more will be adressed in 3.28", it means it's gonna be lackluster AND in 4 month, I don't see a decrease here I see a less ._. If they fix the wombgift atrocious droprate, it may be okay though, that's why I'm still giving this league a chance on my part, but for now, eh, even if the new breaches are great, all I see is that you get about a single fortress every 70 maps, 1 wombgift every 4 to 5 map on average, and nothing else aside. I mean, at least I have to rethink how I prepare builds on my PoB since now I need to have T5 in mind, not just T3 to T1 for a second character ._. |

Unfortunately, most of us have been shouting into the wind with every nerf they have done, that the day would come where a league mechanic would not plaster over the abysmal base drop rate as they tuned the rewards around max juice and max juice alone basically since the Ruthless crusade came about.
Making PoE2 a separate game and pulling devs meant that anytime they wanted to tune the top end, they just nerfed the base rate. We got three nerfs since Sentinel when they were trying to adjust group play/mf without having to tackle 100 scaling vectors. They also pushed most low-tier map farms into the hands of much stronger builds, which leaves very little room for people who are not week 1 in the post-4 voidstones endgame. Essence is the primary example. By taking the +1 tier node off the tree and adding it to a scarab, they ruined that farm. The node on the tree that replaced it means a smaller group of players is now flooding the market by pumping a massive amount of Deafenings onto a map boss. They have this weird obsession with making each mechanic infinitely scaling for w/e reason. There should, without a doubt, be things that are like stepping stones to the harder farms. So people who progress more slowly or are playing builds that will never be strong enough have something valuable to the economy to do. Without it being devalued by some mirror tier build pumping out 10x the rewards simply because they can take a single extra node on the tree. |
