New trading is all bots.

Saw a few other conversations of this elsewhere and thought I'd start one here. There are bots abusing the new trading system and it's impossible to buy any popular build items if they're under certain prices. Lots of people were well aware of this system before it was added to Poe 1 because the exact same thing happened in Poe 2.

Is GGG going to ignore these bots or what? This sucks.

Sniping is essentially dead if you don't have private indexer which will have slightly faster refresh. Even just 5-10 seconds is enough for the item to be sold by the time it shows up on the official trade site. It was a problem even before async trading. No idea why they haven't adressed this for so many years. Pretty much makes the alert feature useless.

feels bad when someone else can load faster and take out the item before you.

It has now happened to me a few times because i play from europe and seller is in japan or asia server and others can load to their hideout faster and buy the item.

Mind you they were cheap items and not really valuable expensive items. But seeing this happen with cheap items. I can imagine when happens with expensive items.



One time the item were even taken infront of me when i had the sellers merchant tab open.

I don't even want to snipe, I just want to buy my build items so I can play the game but these bots make it impossible. They should really limit how many live scans a person can have open at once on their account so the bots have to do extra work if they want to snipe. They should also ban these bots, it's ridiculous.

only they add a way to make infinity gold with league mechanics. so bots dont have gold problems,i know,because im trying to use it myself for infinity gold. and it ALWAYS sold aka red on arrival in live search. and it's ALWAYS the same guys literally 24/7. the only thing they dont buy,is that req. confirmation to buy even if it's worth the price. this is going from very start of the league and none of them is banned.

i wonder what those "we wand auction !!1 *crying*" gonna say now. it will be FAR worse.

human interaction adds delay for bots,so it created a window for everyone else to buy their shit. now ? not a chance.

This isn't new.

In in-person trade, lowball items were price fixes with no intention of being sold and you couldn't buy anything cheap. Now, snipers grab all of the lowball items so you can't buy anything cheap.

The solution for both? Stop trying to buy cheap.
