Wtf is with map drops?

I've been playing a fair amount, basically no map drops. Bosses might drop one of the same level, maybe two rarely, never next level- I mean, RARE.

I run out of maps, go back, find a level 1, start over.

Get a couple 1 drops right away, enough to combine into a 2. In that same(tier 1) run, bunch of currency and a divine- I haven't seen a divine in... a long time. I've changed no rarity, no idea.

I'm in 2s pretty damn quick. 3 2s drop and 2 3s off the boss. I'm already in tier 3... this is how it should feel... this is great.

Its practically RAINING maps.

I don't understand. I didn't change anything, its very clearly different in both of these tier 1 and 2 maps. Clearly. Something is up, there has to be a bug in here somehow.
