Raise Spectre system is the dumbest thing ever

So i had no experience using specters before this patch. Now i wanted to try it so i bought a corpse for some divines (dumbest thing i have ever done). Then i put it on the ground and used the skill. Easy enough, i see it's working. Cool stuff. But then shit hit the fan, because i was foolish enough to think the specters was tied to the gem like an animated guardian (hahaha no sir, not in this game). Apparently some dumbass person thought it was a good idea to have the specters drop on the ground (that i didn't noticed) in the hideout. I started in panic to spam the button for raise specters only for it to resummon some old random ass crap specter i had previous. Now i lost my spectre and my currency. Please ggg refund me.

I just wanted to say thank you to grinding gear games for the very intuitive and straight forward 'raise specter system'. F*** my life.

Btw, how the hell do you spell spectre? I hate this word now.

Also why do they have to be so loud and incredibly annoying in the hideout? Do GGG even play their own game?

should have watched the video before using the skill maybe. Or learn to read the gem description, and read the ingame help section concerning the gem. Or maybe look up the wiki?

To play minion build is a silly decision to make, people normally expect them to be clunky, it is well known for like 13 years now(they made many improvements ofcourse and I cheer for that)
I tried so many times with various skills, skeletons, zombies, spectres of many kinds, golems(especially carrion and flame) and even when i could kill uber bosses in second on high mirror tier budgets it still felt bad to use any of them. It feels better to play non-minion league starter on like 10div than minion build with 10mirror investment. Reasons are 1. AI 2. Delayed dps. 3. Micromanagment and recovery(especially back in the day your minions would die constantly in endgame content like pinnacle bossing)

It is even worse than totem play because totems are hyper-agressive which compensates for any dps delays and are cozy to position, but minions even with feeding frenzy are not agressive enough to feel like true minion master. It always feels like that they are the masters and you are there only to massage their bony feet and bring them milk.



I did not try animate weapon, is it any better that other minions? The ranged version of animate weapon perhaps? I really like the idea of making that work with lightning blade mana stacker because it is fun archetype. But I do not want to get burned for 10. time on minion AI.

my take.

if you never tried the skill, you tried it until you lost a minion, then you would learn "oh so thats how it works".

then you would learn you need to use a new corpse. thats organic learning i had long ago.

if you're willing to spend DIVINES on a new build. reading is one part. trying is another. its still your job to read properly.

despite saying that. i think that since we can itemize and sell corpses (i just realized i didnt know how to spell the word before now lmao. decades old and dont know how to spell corpse? then again i never use the word daily so..) i do think for MODERN gamers sake that there should be more warnings to stuff like spectres and AG.

for sure we need to LEARN TO READ. but instead of antagonizing newer players we should also learn to make the game better too? less salty players = more retained players = more money for ggg.

i think there are 3 areas some "modern gamer" treatment, such as vaal orb, ag and any corpse consuming skills. players need to be made more aware that these skills can have big implications.

i had a friend. didnt read. used brutality with wild strike. he wasted his time and got laughed at by me. but thats all he lost. the level of salt is way less compared to losing a divine. and thats why i think it deserves more highlight. the level of loss is significant. its significant enough that its different from most other "didnt read" issues that can pop up.

Yeah its well past time for a spectre bank interface.
