My review of POE currently
|
I’m still a newer player overall, but I’ve been around PoE for a while now and have watched my son play it for over a decade. I’ve seen what this game used to be before the Tencent buyout, and it honestly feels like we’ve hit the point everyone was worried about back then.
The loot this league is awful, the pacing feels off, and the overall vibe is just… hollow. GGG used to have this spark, that scrappy player-first energy where they’d listen, admit mistakes, and fix things fast. Ever since Tencent took over, it feels like the heart’s been replaced with a boardroom chart. Every change feels like it’s designed for “metrics” instead of players. I’m not trying to be dramatic, but it’s frustrating watching a game with this much potential start to lose touch with the community that built it. I see it in the forums, I see it in the streamers, I see it in how many people are logging off. Nobody’s asking for showering loot or free power. We just want PoE to feel alive again...unpredictable, fun, and rewarding. GGG, if anyone’s still reading this, please listen. The players aren’t angry because we hate the game. We’re angry because we still care about it. Last bumped on Nov 12, 2025, 7:04:50 PM

" Funny you mention that because the chinese POE client run by tencent has plenty of QOL features denied to users over here like death log, customizable auto currency pickup, auto sorting of inventory and stash placement, etc. They also had a functioning AH for a while. |
