Effects and Movement....

How are you supposed to play your game when the effects prevent you from seeing anything? How are you supposed to improve when you don't even know what killed you? (I know, a reasonable kill message would only reveal more bugs.) Why are my own effects always over those of my opponents? Why are the movement skills so modest? Shield charge sometimes works, sometimes doesn't (and who came up with the terrible idea of making a charge dependent on how far the cursor is from the character????). Why can I “teleport” with Flame Dash, but as soon as there's something between me and the target, it doesn't work?

It's a shame that such easily fixable issues detract from the enjoyment of the game...

PS: What the hell is up with the walls in Breach Hive???? Why? Just disappointing...

Have you put your movement skills into "cast without moving" mode?
POE2 should be the ruthless vision experience and POE1 should be the zoom power fantasy sandbox to capture both audiences.
I petition to return all the fun stuff that was removed or nerfed over the years back into POE1.

The problem isn't that it moves, but that you always have to keep the cursor as far away from the character as possible to get the maximum charge. It just feels awful.
But the upside of this is you get to control the distance when you need to. When dodging in deadly bullet hell situations that are endgame bossing this is far better advantage to have than to be forced into maximum distance movement at all times.
Lets not forget its intended design was not movement only and as a DPS skill it needs this attack in place functionality.

I understand that. I expressed myself incorrectly earlier, or rather, I mixed things up a bit. Sorry about that. What I meant was that even if you try to charge 2-4 character lengths away, it doesn't work. It's just really annoying and feels awful.
Overall pure Movement Speed is the king and I agree fully with OP, but what I can recommend is to not using mouse for you skills and movement. Use mouse only for direction and don't use attack in place feature.
