Herald of the Hive damage can be reflected?

So, after getting my WED gem to level 5 and thinking I can now deal with reflect ele maps, I'm finding that the pulse from herald of the hive is killing me. Please, there's no reason for this kind of damage to be reflected back to the player. Can we fix this?
