Primal Owl and SRS interaction

Hi! I am playing on poison SRS build and wanna take new Primal Owl assendancy.

I have this gem links:SRS-Void Manipulation-Multistrike-Awakened Unleash-Unbound Ailments-Minion damage

Primal Owl assendacy got this wording: Unsealed Spells gain 5% More Damage each time their effects Reoccur.

SRS is Spell, with flaming skull summon effect.

Will i have my 35% more damage on SRS poison effect? Or this assendancy is not working on SRS, even if it is spell?

I think it might not work. It's a spell, but SRS summons minions that do melee attack damage. Generic damage mods don't usually apply to minions, unless they are connected in some way, like with support gems.

I don't know for certain though.
