Rework T17 modifiers: "Hungering"

"Area contains Drowning Orbs" is, hands down, the worst map modifier that exists. This gives pretty unpleasant vibes by only looking at it, not to mention how it screws up the gameplay. The effect that appears before you get drowned, where the screen turns black, looks so creepy as well.
As a suggestion, please consider reworking(or removing😅) it entirely. For example, instead, you could put "Chilling Orbs" with sharp animation similar to "saw blades" instead of slowly following the player. Also, this should not be a "one-shot" type of mechanic; any negative effects of this modifier should be possible to mitigate by the build's defence layers. Last bumped on Nov 18, 2025, 1:50:03 PM

Its not a 1 shot, you can movement skill out of them pretty easily. The creepy look is great. This is wraeclast, not superbonk. The modifier affecting gameplay is literally the design intent that GGG has stated is the goal of T17 map mods. “Freedom is what we do with what is done to us.”
