Single Death Mechanics

Just voicing that the single death mechanics still feel like crap. I will still never pay any money to this game for making me repeat or outright lose content.

I just recently got out of the campaign. I did several temple runs and was kinda surprised that after dying in the temple I was able to just respawn and progress the rooms further. I thought "has GGG finally learned?".
But then I did my first Architect fight, died instantly to his ice AoE and the temple run was lost. It just feels awful to lose a run and deterred me from trying more temples anytime soon. |

I am voicing my displeasure at single death mechanics, if i wanted a hardcore experience id play hardcore...

I honestly don't care what penalty they choose, I just wish they'd choose one way of dealing with dying and have it be consistent. I played since the very start when maps were one death and you're done. I got used to that and don't even know the rules for dying in various places anymore. Like, die in campaign and the map resets I guess? But you get numerous tries in waystones depending on rarity? But pinnacle bosses are unlimited tries ... but only on lowest difficulty? It's too confusing.

Yeah, the inconsistency bothers me as well. It's never in the players favor. You either lose all the rewards and cant do the content over, or its content you don't want to do over, that has now respawned.
I don't really know if I trust the vision here, doesn't really seem clear. |
