Yeah, that's not an exploit. For as long as the game permits you to go back to the campaign and farm the league mechanic, it's just your run-off-the-mill farming strategy in PoE.

And no, it does not destroy the economy, the economy goes to shit anyway each league because the game has fundamental problems in that regard and if you can't afford "anything", you're just really bad at the game.
I've just reached level 91 with my one druid build and I've bought very decent gear for a handful of divs.
