Inquiry About Amanamu’s Black Mist Mechanic and Currency Drops

Dear Grinding Gear Games Support Team,I hope this email finds you well. As a dedicated Path of Exile player, I greatly appreciate your ongoing efforts to enhance the game. I am writing to seek clarification regarding a mechanic related to Amanamu monsters and its impact on currency drops. When facing Amanamu-related monsters, I’ve noticed that after they release a black mist, they seem to no longer drop higher-value currency. Based on my observations and community discussions, this appears tied to the black mist mechanic, but the exact reasoning is unclear. I have a few questions:Is the black mist a specific game mechanic that reduces the chance of higher-value currency drops after it’s triggered? If so, what is the design intent behind this?
Does this mechanic disproportionately affect melee or summoner builds? Since melee and summoner players often need to engage enemies up close or rely on minions, the black mist seems to create additional challenges for these playstyles in terms of currency farming efficiency.
Are there any plans to adjust this mechanic in future updates to ensure a more balanced experience across different playstyles (e.g., melee, summoner, and ranged)?

I love the depth and complexity of Path of Exile, but I’d like to better understand the design behind this mechanic and whether GGG considers it fair for all builds. Thank you for taking the time to address my questions, and I look forward to your response.Best regards,

I mean, I cannot speak to the currency issues. But the Ammamus Void (black mist as you call it) is actually better for Melee because you can only damage the enemy IN the cloud, and it does not damage you. It is a range bricker, as it forces ranged players to kite the mob out of the mist, or fight in melee range.
