Single attempt bosses with 5h runback and 1 hit KO mechanics are not very soulslike

Hi, I really enjoy PoE2, I can't play other hack n slash games now.
I play SSF.
Why on earth are there still bosses, that require ~5h of playing to attempt again, that have 1 hit KO mechanics that are not well telegraphed (typically growing circle means "escape" in your game, you taught me that)?
Why couldn't you do with Atziri same thing you did for arbiter?
The whole joy of boss fighting in Soulslike games are learning them, getting better and overcoming them. This just feels cheap.
I'm not complaining Atziri is too hard, it's just that learning her is really pricy. For the future, please don't do it again. You can always add some uber version if you do X,Y or Z, but the first - learning - attempt should be more forgiving, even if dying leads to less rewards or something.
