My opinion regarding both games

Stop trying to force 3-4 leagues per game per year and switch to 2 per game per year that are actually fleshed out and good. Retention will be higher, people will buy more things, and everyone will be happier.

" Personally I agree with you it'd be better, but I'm also not entirely sure you're right it'd make everyone happier. I think both those options will make a lot of people unhappy, so they're kinda stuck between a rock and a hard place. The ideal solution would honestly be if they could have two separately dedicated teams for each game, so they could keep the same release cadence but while working equally hard on both games the whole time. Right now they essentially just get 2ish effective months of work for each league, since large parts of the teams have to hop between which game they work on. If they could scale up to give both games 4 months of effective dev time for each league, that'd be the best of both worlds. I assume that's exactly what they want themselves though, so if they haven't done so already it's most likely because it's not financially feasible. Agree with OP.
+1 The most recent leagues for POE1 and POE2 have not been their best work. |

We had 3-month fleshed out leagues in PoE 1 that were mostly good. PoE 2 destroyed that

" To be honest after what i saw in 0.4 poe-2(Fate of the Vaal) - i mean bugged/low reward Temples, DC'es, may many in-game bug/crushes - i would say that Keepers of the Flame was pretty decent league - not great as Settlers/Affliction in their time, but not as awful as GGG presented in 0.4 Last edited by FreshMeat93#0508 on Dec 27, 2025, 3:48:24 PM

" Given that GGG employs +200 people, I do honestly kind of doubt that all of those people really switch between developing the two games. Would make no sense to e.g. stop making the animations for the remaining skills and weapons to work on something for PoE1. Or like, if a programmer is working on the game scripts for Act 5 in PoE2, makes no sense to move them to work for 2 months on PoE1 league code instead. |
