Item RARITY

Please remove it ones and for all. Some builds have realy hard time to chose between res, attributes and IR. And I'm preaty sure this will improve build diversity.

Don't warry, I have build with 233% rarity and it drops almost nothing good, my another character with 50% rarity coming from 1 item without sacrifices drops much better loot and more expensive currency.

Right now, rarity is completely bugged and you probably want to focus on getting more monster effectiveness as it bring more items in the game and in general have more effect on loot.

ME is not available rom gear, only maps and passives from Atlas\Temple rooms.

GGG has already fixed it. Its not about item rarity but about mods to your maps.
Item rarity is fine. Stop crying about it and learn to pick up white bases, which you get more of without rarity and you can make hundreds of divines selling them.
I m playing with %383 as ritualist (not rarity bot). I can assure you it only affect standart currency like vaal orbs,alchemy , regal and perfect augmention orbs. For divine orb or other high currencies you need juiced maps and correct tablets. However i have no idea for Temple drops coz i never play fresh leagues (especially on EA a lesson from POE1).
It absolutele doesn't matter what is in the code of the game. Matters what most of the people think. And if rarity doesn't matter that much what is the point in keeping it? XD Just another useless mod on gear.

rarity on gear is minimal, there is a bunch of hidden modifiers for drops such as from rare monster mods that make them drop like 95% of divines, to get the best drops you need to (unfortunately) get those juiced maps/ high roll tablets 8 mod maps, and then your character will most likely be too weak unless it's well geared meta build.

i also hope they'll make changes, if you are currently unwilling to play one of the 3 chioces you get for meta builds and copy them from random streamers, you'll have to keep suffering for longer(again, hoping the'll make it better) but yeah, rarity isnt important it's that most skills are too weak
rarity on gear are extremely powerful, because it multiplicative to map rarity. Sure, you need rarity on map, but w/o rarity on gear you will not see divines also. You need both. It just rarity on gear have some dimenishing return after ~150%, while map rarity scale w/o diminighings... 100% base + 200iir on character = 300%, multiplied by map's 100% +100%iir = 300*200 = 600%, ie ~6x.
I would highly prefer that rarity just apply to uniques and not currency. Like in POE1 so there's still a use for it. Right now it just feels like you're gimping yourself if you don't play a build that can stack at least 100%+ rarity on gear.

Absolutely not. This league I intentionally ran with 0% rarity on gear and I felt no difference with my last league rarity char no matter what map I ran. This is because rarity on gear means like almost nothing for item/currency finding, and GGG hinted that several times already. They didn't say it openly, but if you can read between the lines... They even said they will remove the stat completely once they will come up with something "interesting" enough to replace it. I think they will do it in 0.5.0. And they will remove it not to "fix drops" or "change balance", but simply because the stat is confusing and deluding people. They think it is a musthave, while in reality it is just one more + light radius.

All real drops largely depend on difficulty layers - map tiers, map affixes, monster levels, monster affixes and extra affixes (colored one: azmiri, abyss, maybe smth else). Just go play a map where rares have 6+ mods and you'll immediately see it. Chaos and Chance orbs start to drop instead of Augs, 2nd tier chaos/ex instead of normal ones, occasional divs, rare abyss omens. Most likely you will be killed because of x100 monster speed/crit/damage and your only portal will close forever, but even 5 mins playing such a map should be enough to understand how it all works.

That being said, I don't think the the system works good, at least if taken together with economy. For most players general mapping brings nothing. This is why all people make money somewhere else - crafting, sekhema-chaos runs, rituals, pinnacle runs, league exploits.
