I have disabled dodge roll to try and fix the bad sprinting system

I can't take it anymore sprinting is so bad. At this stage in the league I die to 2 things Abyss beams and sprinting and with beams yea that's a skill issue I accept that, sprinting that is GGG headshotting my character for trying to play PoE 2, my bad sorry for trying to play your game.

Sorry for using an ability in my kit even though I know it does almost nothing positive for me and will just delete my waystone and ruin my map node. Heavy stun is not an appropriate punishment for going a bit faster. Imagine if you had over 150% move speed and then any soft stun you get turns into a hard stun. I am sure NO ONE would think that's fair, yet that is basically what is happening here but because you held a button (sometimes accidently) its somehow fair and balanced and fun?!?! No. Please fix or remove sprinting, the state its in is literally sickening.

It will change but it needs time. One of the issue of one patch per league treatment.
It's seasonal game. They need to somehow hook you up again to play this boring ass game.

Here's an idea. Do not sprint into uncleared areas. I know, mindblowing :D
I don't mind that we get knocked down while sprinting. I do mind that it activates often when I don't want it to. They should increase the amount of time we have to hold the dodge button to activate it. That or let us remap or disable it.
While I do think it is a bit harsh for any damage to heavy stun us without build up while sprinting, here's a related wild idea for GGG: Dexterity to provide heavy stun recovery speed instead of granting accuracy.

I don't ever sprint into undiscovered areas and never have problems with dying from getting hit and knocked down.
I am, however, a bit exhausted by the kiss-curse mechanics where GGG cannot seem to gift something to the player without punishment in return or taking something away at the same time.

They clearly want to give us a punishment for using sprint. The main issue is they should put sprint on another button and not have it activate after a dodge roll because sometimes I am just trying to dodge roll and then turn back around and it the character starts sprinting. It would just be easier to give sprint another button to hold while moving to sprint. I do not know why this minor change that will help still has not been implemented.
I sprint and I never get stunned. I don't invest in stun threshold nor use Stone Charm. I don't have access to trade so the overwhelming majority of my gameplay does not include one-shotting anything. To me, stun threshold or stun immunity is something completely unnecessary on casters/ranged characters and it's only somewhat beneficial on melee characters but a lot of their skills have AoE and range to them as well. With increased skill/attack speed, it's really not that hard to avoid damage on melee characters. Not only can we cancel out of sprint with dodge roll and attacks, we can outrun 99% of enemies in endgame.
I only play SSF and it is my duty as one to inform you of my status.
