Can we have a big fireball?

Seriously, can we have a fireball gem, so it's not stuck to a staff and limited?
Wouldn't it be cool to have a fireball that increases in size and causes a big explosion the longer you cast it or as you increase the level/quality of the gem?

And more, skills shouldn't be tied to any weapon. Some of them are super fun, and it's difficult to build around them because they only gain gem sockets with your character's level, they can't have quality, etc.

it's a large issue in poe 2 to base only on "how fast" and not "how big" yo udeal damage.

they wanted to make this game slower and methodical but all the stuff is copy of poe 1 mindset where there's 120 projectiles bouncing around

Yes, I realized that the pace was slower and I could create more imaginative builds, without a thousand things cluttering up the screen, but when I try to create them, there's always a barrier in everything, as the game doesn't allow anything other than lightning bolts flying everywhere or creatures being frozen... very frustrating.
I really hope they change this and transform the fireball, which is an iconic skill in any media, into a decent skill that isn't tied to a specific staff.

In my recent build, I realized that there isn't a single Ricochet node on creatures in the skill tree.
