The skill gem selector has way too many clicks
|
The current skill gem selector / engrave flow is honestly way more tedious than it should be. The current process: right-click the gem, click the correct class tab, scan through multiple rows of gems, click the skill, then click the Engrave button that pops up. Even when you already know exactly what you want, you’re still doing a bunch of unnecessary clicking and mouse movement every single time.
There’s a search function and an “All Gems” filter, but they don’t really fix the problem — you’re still stuck with the same multi-step flow and no memory of what you usually pick. It feels like UI friction for no real reason, especially when you’re setting up multiple gems. Easy QoL wins: - Favorites or recently used skill gems - Fewer clicks between selecting a skill and engraving it - Some kind of quick-select instead of hunting through tabs every time - Mass engraving option This wouldn’t affect balance at all, just make the system way less annoying to use. You really have to have super precise mouse movements to be able to engrave a lot of gems at once (it's like I'm playing Aimlabs. remembering and clicking the tabs and the skill gems in a certain position, then aiming onto the tiny engrave button. This system really needs a user experience overhaul. Last edited by juice#6965 on Jan 4, 2026, 5:49:18 PM Last bumped on Jan 5, 2026, 7:58:43 AM

It would be nice if the show all button remembered it's state. My biggest gripe is having to click that each time. It also makes me wonder why there are recommended supports when I'm constantly looking for others. It makes me feel that either the recommended are wrong, or I'm playing wrong.

I don't ever select the weapon/spell/class/whatever. I just immediately click all gems and then type in what I want. But if you don't know what you are looking for exactly then it is a problem.
Still, I would prefer it start with "all gems" selected after I did that for previous uncut gems. |
