The vision

We've all heard it before, but what does it actually mean?
What exactly is their definition of "engaging gameplay" What are the parameters for "risk vs reward" Can they pinpoint what makes slow movement and stuttering attack patterns more engaging gameplay than split second decisions made at breakneck speed one after another? Some clear and precise communication on exactly what their goals are might help many of us weather the storm of dubious decisions and backpedalling. What is the vision? It is a meme. They simply wanted to catch the attention of a different audience but failed, making both this new audience and the old guard angry. The game is a mess. 1 year in - still a mess.
Kinda fitting that it's Steam rating is similar to Diablo 4's rating. Last edited by Johny_Snow#4778 on Jan 7, 2026, 3:05:53 AM

" Well their originial vision gameplay is there. Just try various MELEE skills for Maces and Quarter Staves, even Spears. In Campaign. It's certainly very engaging. Requiring positioning, dashing, retreating, timing for stun, immobiles, armor break, and dodging. It's VERY FUN, especially on bosses, even if they take 5 mins or more to kill. However, I doubt all of these are viable in Endgame where everything is fast and hits hard. The real problem is GGG decides to throw all of these away at endgame, making zoomy, screen clear, one shots triumph everything else, coz ECONOMY exists. Either remove all zoomy crap by hard nerfing them, or make all Melee Zoomy viable, closer to POE1 I prefer the former coz we already have POE1.
