I'd buy more cosmetics if the game was better

So, im sitting here looking at the one portal cosmetic i have, which i got from either POE 1 or a twitch announcement drop. And i am so bored of looking at it now.
I got a few other cosmetics that ported over from POE 1. Just a few to make myself look a bit cooler. Never bought any cosmetics before.
I am missing my little yellow canary from POE 1, that i had traveled with me everywhere on all my hero's.

I have always been tempted to buy a lot of things. And i do want to make myself look cool that blows my hair back. Any time the game gives me a little bit of excitement or some sort of fun, that's when i am most tempted.

However, i remind myself on the things missing in this game. Things that are important for me as a player. Performance, bugs, QoL, but most important a system that is'nt designed around one best way to play, an example is crafting and buying on trade. For me, i really just want to pick up an item while anywhere that would be good enough as a mirror tier craft or at least something to compete with it in those higher levels. Especially if i busted my balls trying to survive for it. The joy and excitement identifying something like after an immense battle is what i truly yearn for. I would immediately buy a cosmetic to pimp it out. I would, i really would...

I understand things that i want in the game may not be what others want. It would be extremely challenging in trying to make everyone happy, but i think a lot more dedication and motivation from GGG to try more with leniency on their own vision would allow more freedom for a lot more players.

There is a community here that i have seen mention great ideas from anything to everything that could assist in this game to really excel. Its often always overlooked and we get given what we get. These decisions are decided on a small group within GGG against the thousands suggested that we come across daily in the forums, twitch streams, reddit, etc..

I dont just mean to trash talk the devs on the bad they do. GGG have such an amazing ability to bring action packed ideas consistently which just grow and grow as we know from POE 1. Their ideas on some of the new things they bring for leagues has the best intentions for content but ultimately lack because of the other visionary areas they dont take notice on or want to take notice on. For the most part, GGG are some smart people and they can do this all much better if they apply themselves to listen and actually interact with the community. They just need to ensure it works well together with all that is in the game. And this should be better experience for the majority of players.

I would then believe its not the new content that ends in disaster and up roar from the players. Its the other areas that need to coincide with it, when that clashes then everything comes crumbling down.
It may even be that the players overlook the other areas and go straight to complain on new content as being responsible. But i think its commonalty an unnoticed distraction to the actual core issues of the game.

I want to play this game every day if i could and I want to come to the forums and see most people praising the game and sharing their excitement and discussing good things about the game they want to play every day. Sure, there will be some negativity still, but the majority should be overall positive.

Till then, i will continue just window shopping the shop on cosmetics and holding onto my monies. For me, the game just isn't quite there for me to want to buy these things and i'd buy a lot i'm pretty sure.

I agree, the loading gear spinning issue is one of my biggest complaints. I go from loading instant using DX12 but take the risk of the near crash on a i9-13900k / 4090 with the random gears showing up to slow load of maps with a once in a while gears spin loading screen.

Than you have the weird spirit reserve issues, bad UI where tool tips like to stay on your screen, and the weird unequipping/equipping of the same gear such as gems, gear, etc. to work correctly.

Lastly the economy, every season never without fail. Something is implemented without proper testing or someone spills the tea on it. The market goes from a good upgrade of 1 div to 10 div+ over night.

If these areas were improved. I can see myself buying way more MTX.

The game is bad because they actually think people enjoy starting over every 4 months with nothing to show for all the time and energy they put into the game.

There is currently no reason to play a season if you miss the start of it or even several days in a row.

The league system is stupid and needs a complete revamp

You sound like someone who wants fast dopamine hit, meanwhile this game is about grinding the same content over and over like a job.

This game is clearly not for you. You come on week, two every league. That's it. That's the game.

I mean... they do have over a decade of proof that there's a large player base that wants exactly that so...

That's a ridiculous and unrealistic take. You want ground loot to just be as good as items that cost thousands of divs to make? You serious?

That's a game for nobody then. Not sure why you think having a worse player retention plan then D3 is "the game" when that wasn't even Poe1's despite being ridiculously faster.

They make content 2 months so you can play 2 weeks. There is no money in player retension, you need pay for servers.

Yup, serious. I am either going to play with that item or still put it up for trade. So i have the possibility to still play with that item or still sell it for what ever hundreds or divines it could be worth.

So now i get the the excitement of dropping that item and if i wanted to sell for a 200div then i get excited again.. win win.

A compromise i'd agree with then is to at least have SSF be able to drop top tier mods at a fair rare rate depending on the challenge. Just like the chase items and lineage gems rates drop on anomaly boss. Why can an extremely good rare item not be the same chance?
