Skill Gem Limits should be increased.

As per Title, I think the Skill limits should be increased, perhaps, doubled.

I have 2 reason why I bought EA.

1- Spear Fantasy (which is not fulfilled at all)
2- Weapon Swap Tree.

Coming From POE1, I always thought having different tree for different weapon looks cool, coz it means you can have 2 build or combos.

I explicitly pick Witchhunter because of the 100 weapon skill points, only to later find out there's a very small limit of skill slot.

I wanted to play combos of different set of skills. Seeing all the non-spell skills are locked behind weapon types, it is excruciatingly necessary to equip different weapon for different skills.

Persistent alone requires many different slot due to different nature of different weapon gameplay.

I've been really enjoying MELEE gameplay in acts, quarter staves and wolf in particular are quite fun. Spear not so much sadly.

With Stun Set, Freeze, Payoff, Charge, Bleed, Ranged Set ETC... all these requires both different Trees which is solved via Witchhunter, but...more skill slot, which there is no solution.

I want to play the game it meant to be originally played before everything changed into POE1. Combo, Dodging and engaging fights.

I just hate ALL endgame video of player that pretty much playing POE1. Just screen wide and zoomy and auto this and that. Blergh.

Anyway, that's my feedback. Double Skill Slot. Or at least addon at Witchhunter Notable.

Maybe improve MELEE spears. Or u know MELEE. Not sure I'll live long enough for POE3.

Thanks

Simplify character leveling up without having to redo the campaign and problem solved no need for a second tree or more skills in the same character.

I'm pretty sure I mentioned I don't want to play POE1 at POE2.

If I wanted that 1-2 button skills, I wouldn't have bought this EA.

The 2nd Tree IS the reason why I'm here (and all those original vision, and spear)

I'm with you on simplifying level up on second characters, one way could be running maps as option select. It's boring playing the campaign over and over.

Yes please give us 20 skill slots to play.
I have no issue with them introducing more skill slots, some will use it some won't. I don't really see it impacting overall gameplay for the majority.

Simplifying character leveling? I really don't understand this at all lol. Just do the campaign, you are doing the same thing in campaign as you are in maps, run to boss while killing mobs along the way, kill boss, new map, run to boss kill boss. The ONLY difference is the miniscule amount of talking you need to do inbetween.

If they simplified it for second characters they may as well remove it altogether, remove the quests to get passives, perma buffs ect. Nothing will change, you will still be running T0 maps or killing stuff in the relevent campaign maps until level 65 to be able to complete T1 maps. It is almost exactly the same thing.

Leveling is optimal within 4 levels of your character so they would either need to create another 60+ tiers of maps or make it level scale.

Nice POV. So far I don't have problem with campaign just yet, but that's only because I still haven't reach endgame.

In POE1 however, well... I get both points. I think it all boils down to people wanting to play new things IMMEDIATELY, because their build are already done in POB, or others POB. So, they just cannot handle they delayed fulfilments.

Maybe they can introduce endless leveling system without quests, like Endless delve but from Level 1,or Climbing Tower but only unlocked when 1 character completed campaign and perhaps level 90 or something.

It's not a big issue for me tho.

I've been thinking, how great if Witchhunter instead of 100 weapon points, got 50 weapons + 5 skills slot.

Agree and bump. I would like to use many skills in different combos. Almost never use normal attacks. Buffs and meta skills take up space and some skills, forge hammer for example, need another standalone skill to trigger. Every season I end up looking for a decent pair of unset rings. It would be great to have 1-2 additional skill slot.
I think it's quite good the way it is now...
There are enough skills to make decent combos and not so many that you can just take all skills, but have to choose what works for the playstyle you are building for.

Maybe they can add options via passives etc to get extra slots for those who really want to press lots of buttons while playing?

It is essentially QOL and yes adding extra skill slots may turn into devs technical nightmare, Idk. But nevertheless it can't hurt the players if it is doable.
