Path of Exile 2 - General Feedback

Before mentioning a few points, I just want to say that the purpose of any game released in the world, regardless of size, platform, genre, or target audience, needs to be fun... Everything that is designed to be included in the game is intended to be fun... It's unacceptable for something boring to be included in the game... difficulty doesn't mean boring, a mechanic doesn't need to be boring to be difficult... see souls-like games (of course, not everyone here will like this genre, but that's the idea).

This concept has been lost in Path of Exile 2 so far.


- Trial of Sekhemas is not fun...please remove this entirely from the game.

- Maps with maze layouts aren't fun.

- Map bosses with 1 shot skills are not fun if one shots you regardless of your defences (it's totally fine for Pinnacle bosses but not for maps, high damage is ok but one shot should not be a thing).

- Abyssal monster inside boss arena are bad.

- Support gems that doesn't do anything to the related skills should not be shown as compatible when we right click them just because they match tags...Why GGG ?

- We have to join the portal to "run" the temple and then take the portal to leave the temple...Can't we just have a button "Close temple without run it" ?

- Doors aren't fun.

- Some maps have too few checkpoints making us backtrack the whole thing...we have checkpoints, why not to put them there ?

- The trial of Sekhemas is unbearably bad.

- Players shouldn't have their game progression (Ascension) blocked by trials that are hated by the community and are mandatory if we want to progress.

- Trial of Sekhemas carriers charge exorbitant prices for runs while farming the most expensive item in all of Path of Exile 2 (Temporalis)... This is absurd... it's the only farm in the game that's funded by other people. If they don't manage to get the Temporalis, they still farm more currency than any other mechanic the game provides (except snake farming on Temples), and if they do get the Temporalis, they become even richer than anyone else playing the game... and for that, you need to play with specific builds, taking away the diversity and fun out of the game.

- There's a lot of currencies without proper slots in their tabs and for some of them there's not even tabs to store at all.

- Merchant tabs brought a good feature, but it made us throw our money away buying premium tabs, now almost nobody buys from you if you put your item up for sale on them.

- Trial of Sekhemas is so freaking bad.

- Why do we stumble over a simple basic attack from a useless white monster while we're running? Why does everything good you bring to the game have to have a drawback?

- There is an overwhelming number of abilities in this game that clutter the screen so much that it becomes absolutely impossible to see what's happening after you use them. I've lost count of how many times I've died to map bosses without even knowing why, because my abilities completely block the view of the terrain, making it impossible to see what the boss is doing, as well as the markings on the terrain to dodge telegraphed attacks. Do i have to mention Arbiter of Ash ?

- We need a button to completely disable the special effects of our own abilities, so that whenever we want to safely tackle a boss or other content, like leveling up without dying, we can activate this block and play without getting one-shotted by abilities that the game itself prevents us from seeing and avoiding.

- Trial of Sekhemas is completely garbage.

- One single portal for full mod maps are trash.

- Redo campaign for all characters after have already beat campaign in the current season is boring as hell.

- Ultimatum is too hard for many builds...dificulty and time consuming.

- Trial of Sekhemas is unfair...

- Ban streamers doing exploits on livestreams and/or making videos promoting it.

- Never launch a new league days before Christmas and then find yourself without a team to manage the game. I think one screw-up is enough to learn the lesson.

- Insert a button to reset the temple completely.

- Atziri final path is way too rare.

- Remove Trial of Sekhemas forever!!! We hate it (most of us)

Dude. I don't know what type of people ggg is. They enjoy watching their fans suffer eternally. I was a big fan back in poe 1 when we get excited creating new characters mid league. But now in poe 2, I burn out in the campaign. There's too much suffering (unless you play meta builds).

They've effectively made capped resistances the bare minimum to survive campaign bosses, which is problematic because capping res isn't trivial - it requires significant hours grinding.

And yes, these trials are the worst. Imagine doing the whole thing again when you see the bird boss in the boss room of the chaos trial knowing it has an inevitable death mechanic. Like wtf.

Just like satan having fun inflicting all kinds of pain to job.

+1 I agree with almost everything OP has listed. However, I don't think there will be changes if any.

All I can think of when something messed up happens, and that's all the time, is Nelson Muntz from the Simpsons pointing and saying "Ha ha!"

That's how I imagine the dev's attitude towards the players and all the shit they won't fix.
Since you seems very hung up on the whole Sekhemas thing lets detach a bit and think about it.
In this case the whole problem will be solved by two things. 1. Removing Honor from Regular Sekhema runs and 2. Keeping Honour as it is for unique item runs such as Temporalis.

- The biggest problem is honor. If honour was not a mandatory stat for each run the trial becomes a variated and a slightly tougher version of PoE1 lab.
If people had to rely solely on their char power and not just a arbitrary life bar not present anywhere else in the game, then there would not be some much hate for the mechanic imo.

- Temporalis farmers and carries charge exorbitant prices for a single reason. The Tempo relic puts your honour to 1. Meaning that if you get clipped by so much as a grain of sand ENDS THE RUN. Idk know about you guys, but most people i've seen struggle to complete the trial with 5-6k honour. If somebody can do it with 1 (ONE) then I have no arguments against them charging exorbitant prices for that.
Besides it requires an entire build specifically tailored for the task.

If you don't like the price of carry just find a cheaper carry, or you know take the time to do it yourself and learn the content. No one puts a gun to your head demanding you throw divs to get carried.
