Socketed aura's turning off when using quality currency on item.
|
I don't remember this happening in the past, but I don't think it should happen (Other than if changing the item in some way has restricted it from meeting the requirements).
Aura UI has been pretty good since the improvements a few leagues back, I don't know if there have been any intended changes, but I think I've noticed aura's turning off a bit during phrecia by indirect interactions. It's not great when they turn off in combat zones, even if the player does notice it. Last bumped on Feb 8, 2026, 9:32:03 PM

" FYI, it also kills all socketed minions for some reasons. We miss you, bald man.

I was just thinking about this yesterday, trying to figure out if I was crazy because I don't remember it happening in the past either.

" Yeah that sounds annoying too. " Yeah it feels like a recent update to me. I like that they are making it more user friendly to craft without having to unequip, but there is no feedback that it is doing this if the item requirements don't break. Potentially dangerous in HC, qual item and temporarily loose auras. Don't think that is an improvement. Hopefully they can get it where if the item requirement doesn't break, it doesn't interfere with them. |

I think functionally it is unequipping the item. Most usable currency requires you to unequip the item. It may be a but that is letting you do this to begin with.

" Could be. As far as I remember, wet and blacksmith qual for a long time have allowed use without unequipping. I'm not certain it didn't turn off auras, but I never noticed if it was. I think it's good that it's possible to craft directly onto the item, but quality having no direct link to auras, should not be turning them off. If that's how it works, then that's how it works. Does anyone know if there has been a change though? Or just something that I never noticed before? Last edited by Belegur85#5784 on Feb 8, 2026, 9:34:33 PM
