Can't see the maze in the new Uber Sirus fight!
![]() Uber Sirus puts you into the maze. But there is now a random conqueror right on top of it, doing their thing. You can't see the maze at all. And there was just enough time to run out of it even when you could see it. Good luck, exile! This is not a good design. Not at all. Logout if that's HC.
The new Sirus fight is Gauntlet only anyway. |

" Did anybody from GGG confirm that? They are struggling to keep up with the release schedule. And somebody took time to add new mechanics to all these bosses. I'd assume this will be a permanent feature from 3.28 on. And the gauntlet part is only the enrage. |

Since the inception of 3.27 league the maze or his laserbeams dont show up for me at all. The animation just isn't there. Even on the mini boss for the new questline in that map. Same thing with the boss that has the statues and the laser beams that travel across the room. His cold floor ground thingy indicating slam is coming doesn't happen anymore. he just raises his weapon and slams.
On top of no animations showing up, loading screens have been horrific in poe1-2 for me. |

" That means the textures are not loading. Probably too low on VRAM. PoE used to just crash when it ran out of VRAM but now they optimized it to avoid crashing. At the expense of some textures. But that's only the "unimportant" textures like the uber boss animations. MTX textures always load as a priority. You are allowed to fight uber pinnacle bosses with invisible animations (I've experienced invisible Sirus storms and invisible Eater tentacles myself). But you are NOT allowed to enter a town until all MTX'es finish loading. And with every new release there are more and more of them, taking more and more memory. GGG got their priorities straight! " I have an Rtx 2080 3.26 i had no problems. So you're telling me when .4/3.27 launched poe1s requirements and poe2s requirements both got higher and you need a gpu newer than a 2080 to play now? This happened ON patch day. Its not like it slowly started happening. I can go right now in the game in ssf and load into my hideout with 0 mtx and it will still take forever to load. Also i have almost no special mtx. i have what ive won in gauntlet and from challenges. |

" Its the shaders, if you press F1 and look at the green Shader bar its most likely constantly full while you're fighting something like Sirus. A lot of people have been complaining that shaders are bricked up and they're getting 5 minute loading times on insanely high-end PCs aswell. If you sit there for a few minutes and let them load, usually stuff isn't invisible. But if you rush in as soon as the loading screen ends in a boss arena then some of the mechanics will just not be loaded. Usually while shaders are loading the game is also taking more CPU usage, that's when you know you should wait for them all to load. Its dumb but its either that or invisible attacks. Same thing happens with all the new Eagon storyline endbosses, all of that new content just has shaders that aren't optimized at all and take ages to load for some people. Some people have said the shader cache is constantly getting corrupted, I have no idea if that's really the cause. But its kinda crazy that so many people with so many differing GPUs and so on all have the same issues. If the game was really running low on vram then it would say "VRAM: CRITICAL" with red text in the F1 menu, and that has actually happened to some other people, they have posted screenshots of it. In that case all the textures in-game turn to potato-mode, these low-res versions are usually supposed to be hidden from the player behind a loading screen. The game just slaps those textures on as some kind of fail-safe instead of having an empty void in your screen, or that's my assumption at least. But yeah, they bricked shaders in 3.27. Some people have been reporting problems even from 3.26 or earlier. And since PoE 2 and PoE 1 are on similar engines, anything that gets backported between them will share the same problems/bad optimization. All this is kinda more fitting for the Technical Support/Bug Reports forum but oh well, just letting people know some of the things I've found out from reading multiple threads about this issue. " Interesting. I started noticing what seemed to be problems with shaders around about Crucible league. As I have no technical knowledge I just put up with it and played a bit less HC. It certainly seemed to be effecting the performance with them building, particularly on league start. In the last year or so it seems to be improved for me. I did some changes to settings based off some advice from other players, because I don't know how it works, but now I mainly just run into problems when encountering some new content for the first time, then it seems to improve from then onward. Does seem to be a bit of a problem that was introduced at some point though. There have been various problems that arise with the performance in the game and are fixed from time to time, but it seemed to me like shaders wasn't one but it got introduced. As with the post further above, there may well be good reason, that it is preventing likelihood of a crash by doing this, and possible that there are more pressure on the systems, because of some things that have been implemented, but it is hard to accept this sometimes without the technical understanding, when the result goes from a program that appears to be running well, to something that is struggling. Anyway, the game overall has been running well for me for some time now. Thanks for post like the above that know way more than me and are able to explain it a bit to someone that has no understanding. I hope for those that are encountering and performance hurdles that they get overcome, as I know it can be frustrating, particularly when it is effecting a subset of players and may not be prioritesed for being improved. " Yeah, I think some people were saying that performance seriously degraded for them since Crucible, or a certain "optimization patch" that was done in some previous league. The game definitely runs badly(depending on your PC) until you load all the shaders for a lot of the monster types, tilesets, bosses, boss abilities etc. the first time. " Yes, Toffy. What you’re pointing out is a fairly natural consequence of an engine being overhauled and refined. As it becomes more sophisticated and increasingly demanding, older or less capable hardware can start to fall behind. That usually shows up as longer loading times for assets, shaders, and other elements, along with a bit of overall slowdown.
