The Purity / New Elemental Aura Changes

I'm a bit curious about these.

First: They are ALL 40% reserved, thank you GGG for not making them 60%, they would have been damn near useless at 60%.

Second: At level 7 they all give +1 to maximum, and +25% to their specific resistance. So we can MAYBE assume that either:

A) At level 14 they give +2 to maximum, and at lvl 21 (with aura level boosts) they may give +3! This would be pretty good.

B) They get this at level 5, and can raise +1 at 10, 15, and 20 for +4 to maximum. Which would be even stronger.

Either way, at level 7 they give +25%, that's not bad, at max level they probably give a shit ton of resists.

AS an Aura whore, this actually excites me.

Assuming that at level 20ish they are all around 40% resists and +2-4 to maximum resists.

With a bonus 75% effect, they all give +70% to their specific resistances. Then with purity, I could easily get over 100 to all resists with these 4 auras and maybe +3-7 to all resistance cap.

As an Aura Whore I currently run: Purity, Discipline, Vitality, Grace, Haste, Wrath, Clarity

Since they are all 40% I think I could drop Haste and Wrath to equip these 3 auras. Giving over 100% to all resists to the entire party would be insane, forget giving them anything else.

Let's not kid ourselves, the mainly used max resist aura is the lightning one, because it is sorely needed considering how strong lightning damage is. Now, the change baffles me because the ones that need it the most are melee characters. And what did we see? 98 int requirement at level 7 of the gem.

Good luck melee, have fun getting shafted, again.

PS: giving all resists to a party doesn't mean much, because you won't always be in range and it would be incredibly dangerous for them if you suddenly weren't in range and they took ele damage: so they will have maxed resists regardless. The only interesting part is the +max resists which doesn't seem to be all that different now.

Doesn't affect me don't think I've ever used purity at all actually anyway they just want you to die and die again and again.

As good as Im sure it would feel giving your whole party 100% to all resists; It is highly unlikely you'd be encountering much people end-game that was not capped on resists without the assistance of another player.

Mayhaps, more often that not tho MFers need to give up on resistances among other things for their MF tho.

Not to mention, counters ele weakness maps.
