Shadowbane - Temple of the Cleansing Flame

To the ex-shadowbaners out there :

Anyone out there used to play Confessor and Templar, and wants to bring the Cleansing Flame lore to PoE?

I mean to play the lore (part of it) adapted to PoE.

CONFESSOR - Judge of the Unworthy
Confessors are the priests of the Cleansing Flame, charged with winnowing the righteous from the wicked, and exposing evil and sin wherever they may lie. Motivated by the Twelve Articles of Faith, they have continued the High King's crusade against the Elves, and have added many other races to the ranks of the sinful. They pray to the All-Father daily, and their powers arise from lengthy invocations of the Archons and the Blessed Saints. Saint Malorn the Just, Kindler and Keeper of the Flame, is their greatest patron, and through him Confessors can work mighty miracles of fire, smiting the unrighteous and unholy, or keeping shadow at bay. Miracles of healing and protection are also theirs to command, but such blessings are reserved for the pure and faithful. The agents of the All-Father's final justice, Confessors can also lay mighty curses and maledictions upon the wicked in punishment for their sins. Confessors put the spiritual well-being of their flocks far above their physical well-being, testing and rewarding the faithful rather than feeding or clothing the poor.

TEMPLAR - Sword of the Cleansing Flame
Born in the tumult that followed the Turning, the Church of the Cleansing Flame has grown throughout the Age of Strife, and few are left untouched by its endless crusade for Justice and Righteousness. Fire creates light and warmth, and thus the Confessors of the Flame seek to illuminate the innocent, drive away all shadow, and expose the taint of evil. But to effect real change in the World, the Fire must burn all that is impure. The Templars, fanatical soldier-priests of the Cleansing Flame, have pledged themselves to this end. Templars are the strength of the Temple, enforcing its will in the World and smiting any who oppose the cause of Righteousness.

Oh man, the memories this brings back. I think about Shadowbane sometimes, the battles and excitement. But reading about these classes reminds me how much like PoE it was in the regard of builds. So many viable builds. So many non-viable builds made viable through use of strategy in the field.

OnT : Awesome idea. I wasn't much into Templars, but I loved Confessors (all the hybrid casters really, Druid, Doomsayer, Magelock as well as pure nukers). It will be a future project, my idea of a Confessor, a RF build supported by, well all the shit it has to be supported by.

Shadowbane is my favorite mmorpg of all time. I put sooooo many hours into it. Epic pvp, city sieges, awesome mine fights, player driven politics including inner-nation espionage.

I totally would support the Templar lore.
