PoE + achievements = ? [Russian]


Многие из вас должны быть знакомы с таким явлением, как достижения (ачивки, ачивменты, achievements) по играм в Steam, на консолях, в D3, WoW, SCII, Rift и т.д. Достижение - это награда в виде картинки, очков прогресса, званий, предметов, питомцев, аватарки на форуме и т.п. красивостей, не влияющих на внутриигровой баланс. Т.е. по идее с философией PoE "Say no to p2w!" достижения сочетаются чуть более, чем полностью.

Как и у любого явления, у достижений существуют положительные и отрицательные стороны. Немного пофантазируем и попробуем разобраться, нужны все-таки или не нужны достижения в такой замечательной игре, как Path of Exile.

i wouldnt be against it, and i bet its on the list.. but i bet there are a few more things infront of it.
Things with "increased" and "decreased" in the tooltip are additive ... where as "More" or "Less" are multiplicative ...

For a down-the-road idea, achievements are good; they provide an incentive (pretty picture, that feeling of accomplishment) for doing something that perhaps you might not have (like, get a character of each class to level 70 on Hardcore or something) and they provide a nice little goal you can go for if you are at a loss of what to do.

I think it would be cool if they had difficult/esoteric achievements (maybe 20-50 of them) that gave a very small amount of microtransaction points (like 1-5) that way, if you get a bunch of achievements, you can buy yourself a pet or something small like that as a reward for putting time into doing those instead of grinding out Fellshrine or something.

I've wrote a little advertisment of my article dedicated to possible achievements in PoE. There I've tried to show a positive and a negative side of achievements in PoE.

I hope to see achievements one day. They are beneficial for the player and the developer; the player gets even more enjoyment from the game, and the host adds significant game content with relatively little development time.
