Do YOU Play "Single-Player Mode"?
Do you play Path of Exile in "Single-Player Mode"? By that I mean rarely if ever trading, PvPing or playing in group games?
I do. I'm bound for a long grind, it's true, but for me trading and playing in random public games just isn't as fun as getting ALL TEH LOOTZ. Solo players unite! What would you like to see in terms of furthering support for it? For me, a self-found league (oh, hush) would be nice, BUT since I don't interact with the market in any way, it's NOT essential. I play in leagues simply to have access to the latest content that's not in Standard. It would be cool to "complete" against others in a similar boat. Oh and I play Softcore. Boss fights are way too hard for the weird-ass builds I make. I play self-found in SC and HC. It's more fun that way and getting a new and good piece of gear that you found yourself is super exciting. The only trading I do is to give away orbs that people might need as I generally end up with too many by never trading and because I love to hoard orbs.
Granted, I don't believe in the whole self-found league idea. Trading is an important part of this game, I just choose to not partake in it. Last edited by Stormquake#2535 on Feb 23, 2014, 7:09:57 PM

I play 99% solo
I sell stuff but I very rarely buy stuff Materials I gain by selling goes into gambling and mapping. I just thank god that everyone does not play the same way or there would be no economy at all. IGN- Shaeyaena

100% solo self found. BoR is my best item so far.

" I play single player 99% of the time, sometimes I join a multiplayer game just cause. I'm not sure if I'd like an offline single player mode, the drops aren't that bad. However there is a problem with them in A3M and it makes for a grind. A kind of grind before you get to the endgame grind. I have multiple level 60+ characters, those I have taken to 70+, it was a GRINDING type of experience BEFORE I need to grind out more levels for endgame. In my view if the experience/level gain would of been quicker, it would have eliminated a premature GRINDING feel. Basically PoE needs to make it easier to reach level 80 (like in Diablo 2 ;) ), then let the GRIND BEGIN! |

" Agreed. It takes too long to realize a build when the treadmill steepens so early. I plan out these characters in the Passive Tree, but can't really test them without a mind-numbing grind. In the morning

I play completely solo. In fact, I utilize the "Shagsbeard Method". Solo, self-found, no trading among characters. Sometimes I'll offer items to others for free before I vendor them. But I don't really consider that trading as I'm just looking to do something nice and not asking for anything in return.
Honestly, I don't really feel the need for any more support from GGG for my style. I know the game's tendency to lean towards grouping, trading, etc. but I still choose to play this way. Therefore, I don't feel I should ask for anything. zombiedismembermentfuckyeah!
