It also depends on how you have your UI settings. I have "always highlight" on. Do you?
Edit: I think you're pressing the "show" button, not the "highlight" button. There's a difference. I believe Alt is the default key. Try that one. just a note, not sure if it was mentioned or explained, 4link r-g-b chrome items dont get highlited for me.

"dont get highlited" as in "no special colour" or "can't see"?
Show LinkedSockets >= 4 ItemLevel <= 66 4L items are relatively early in the list and have no special colouring. So, they will always show up (if below ilvl66) but the second rule about rbg is ignored. (don't know if this is intended, if you value rgb higher, you can move that block up) Dynamit,
