Hatred nerf for spell users.. Why do you hate us so much? -33% dmg
" Man so to add on running out of mana on 20-30 cost skills, somehow. Now you have to retaliate every melee skill, warcry every melee skill, and have to press banners. Saving this. Mash the clean

I've seen this too many times to get all riled up anymore. I used to but...
This happens because 10,000 changes are wanted, and they only have time for 100. When they change one thing, it affects pretty much everything else. If they make everything super specific, like adding an "aura effectiveness" number to every skill (so skill which aren't in the crosshairs don't get accidently bodied), it just complicates balance and makes the devs' job harder and longer to do. To be fair to them, they don't have infinite time, and cuts and collateral damage are unavoidable. It's just cold spells' turn on the chopping block. But, honestly, going from 50m to 35m DPS probably isn't going to get you much sympathy from the devs or the community in general. You have a super strong build which is now "just" really strong. The devs will never balance around such an insignificant loss because there are much larger problems to address. Now, if you have a build in question which is... A) A skill almost nobody uses and B) Was BARELY viable before, and now is bricked You have a pretty strong case to the devs, as some content which they designed to be used, is not being used, and isn't up to snuff. Similarly the community would get excited to see a meta-shakeup and you'd get more "agree" posts generating more responses and calls to action and such. Just be realistic with your approach, and understand why and how people react, so your posts don't become combative, which this thread has unfortunately become. I do sympathize with your point, and the best way I know how to help is to just tell you how I see it, no sugar coating, so everyone here can understand as much as possible, and actuate their strategy and thoughts as clearly as possible, because this is an unfortunate consequence of balance right now and the best we can do is make light of it, in a positive fashion. |

" To be even more fair - THEY are the ones that designed the game such that it would be much harder to balance than almost any other aRPG, even on similarly designed. They are also the ones with the meta-changes that happen because they think they need to force builds around, but the rise and fall of players has never really tracked well with that. So, really - balance it hard? awww |

" PoE1 only exists to get otherwise controversial ideas (to many PoE die hards) into the minds of people as acceptable, and to also get worse so that everyone goes over to the new expensive thing they made (Poe 2). Just like they generally make new league content too good to ignore completely, and many other gone-standard things lesser, they are doing the same with the two games. They dont want players playing both of them - thats just a bunch of nonsense. They want you to play the new things - so make anything that is not a porting of PoE2 ideas into Poe 1 bad and continue more porting or partial porting. AH, or something that is basically just like it? Let everyone get used to the currency AH first. Spell casting somewhat worse and melee somewhat better? Gee, I wonder if PoE has better balance among the playstyles - but hey, if you do that to PoE 1 too without doing in a bad way, people might not mover over. Better to have improved balance in the new and old thing, but in way that people don't like in the old thing. Keep them coming over to the new thing and staying there. Any time there is a new thing, and the developer claims they are happy for you to engage with either the old thing or the new thing, even if they can also make money from the old thing - they are lying to your face, and you are a fool to believe them. PoE1 will get some of PoE2 in it, and generally a worse version of it. It's already happened, and it will continue to happen. PoE1 will soon be just like standard, but as an entire game and not just one mod in one. |

" These words are enough. They seem to be doing everything to make old players lose interest in the game. [Removed by Support]
