Awakened Skill Gems

Just a thought, how about awakened skill gems that can go to lvl 30?

Awakened Support gems don't provide as much compared to the normal version and are just a small min-max damage boost.
Or nice to have if you make use of some of their additional benefits like "Elemental Damage from Supported Skills cannot be Reflected" on Awakened Elemental Damage with Attacks. Cause aside of that the difference between the normal gem and Awakened gem is only 5% more difference which ain't gonna double or triple your damage numbers.
Awakened Added Cold Damage does provide you +1 to cold gems and 194 to 291 added cold damage while the normal version only grands you a slight smaller amount of added cold damage of 152 to 228. Again just a small damage boost and not something that's going to triple your damage numbers.
Going over to the more expensive gems, Awakened empower does provide you 1 additional level compared to the normal empower which is also just a very small damage boost.

You can pretty much go through the entire Awakened Support gem list and all of them really do nothing but boost damage slightly.


But skill gems would be entirely crazy in power.
Just put 10 extra levels on any gem that scales hard with levels and the numbers go up twice as high or even more not even including the additional bonus they would add along to it cause it's a Awakened gem.

Let's take Ice trap as example.
A level 21 does provide 1433 to 2149 to cold damage and a level 31 would give you 4225 to 6338 without including any additional gem level of other sources.
Let's say you throw on a empower 4 with a +3 corrupted chest ,+2 wep and +1 shield for additional 9 level for a level 40 Ice trap. 6958 to 10437 cold damage.
Not busted at all lol
