Is it really infinite or is it capped at 65,535
A fact is a statement that can be supported to be true or false by data or evidence. In contrast, an opinion is a personal expression of a person’s feelings or thoughts that may or may not be based in data.

It's marketing speak for "very big".

There's no such thing as infinite in a computer system built with finite atoms.

Yes. I agree, but is it 32-bit integers or 16-bit integer, or 64-bit integer.

I NEED TO KNOW. xdders

This.

When game devs say "infinite" they're really saying "so ridiculously big that under 1% of players would ever reach the end of it, even if they devoted themselves entirely to that goal."

That being said, I can't wait for Steve to tell us all how big the planet is!

"if you die then the map can no longer be run and you'll have to find another way around to get to the areas behind it"

some of those have 3 connections, if you die 3 times/fail to complete it what happens to the connection? you get locked out of progression?

Technically correct, but it's perfectly possible to design computer systems where the limit will never actually be reached in practice. This new endgame system probably will probably have an upper boundary much greater than an int16 since people have proven they can actually hit the delve limits (unless of course GGG wants a repeat of that, there is kind of a geeky cool factor to it).
