Poe2 seems to be way too similar to poe1

Just to weigh in on this conv.
I thought there was a lot of difference for a game that initially was intended to be an extension to PoE1 and not a new game entirely.

To me it felt like the exact opposite, the Stream made it more obvious than ever that this is just POE 1.5 and not some new standalone game

Nothing wrong with it, poe 1 is great, i was expecting more of a difference though

Won’t argue here as we are both untitled to opinions that may differ. Looks like a same as Poe new game that I am excited as hell about and don’t care if it’s 1.5 or 2 it’s a new engine with the advantages that brings and in short …bring it on dec 6th :)

The "Infinite atlas" Is literally Delve.

No it’s not, it’s some of delve concepts applied to the atlas for sure but ‘literally’ literally doesn't mean that.

You listed the infinite atlas as a feature that the PoE1 engine couldn't do. In regards to the context you framed it in, yes, it literally is the same as delve. You're arguing semantics that the infinite atlas is not delve. It spans in all directions, has biomes and each node has a feature that the player can decide if it's worth pathing to or not. It's delve as an endgame atlas.
Sadly it's too similar in the worst parts too, the endgame will look exactly like path of exile 1 where you can't even see your character

And i don't believe they will ever "fix" this because to the hardcore arpg fan this is not even a problem in the first place
