Hi,
Very nice guide. I used it as a baseline for a build I am trying out in bloodlines - however I changed the starting point from ranger to Duelist - for the simple reason that Iron Reflexes is closer (I tend to trust armor more than evasion - but that is just me. It also makes gearing a bit easier as you can roll with hybrid gear) My end dps output will probably be way less than yours - since I didn't stack so much crit (I'm a bit scared of reflect) Given my current gear - I should be able to get to 5.2k life at level 90. My planned links for TS is (I wont bargain on a 6 link - never been that lucky) (I am currently running with a Lion Eye's Glare - the fact that you can never miss means more life leech) Tornado Shot -> Faster Attacks -> Physical Projectile Attack Damage -> Life Leech -> GMP Again a dps drop - but should be a bit more tanky (this is HC after all) Here is my version of the build should you want to check it out. Again, many thanks for this guide you made :) Last edited by midget214 on Jan 6, 2015, 4:26:33 AM

New player here and relying on my limited gear selection but having fun with the ranger so far. I'd love to start using Tornado as my main attack but I don't have the skill gems to fully utilize the shot. So far while leveling, ice shot has been much more viable as a main attack. Tornado shot just doesn't hit enough targets to take out groups when clearing at level 38.
Thanks for the guide, hope my gear catches up and can have tornado as my main attack at some point... Newb Player Jan. 2015 IGN: Ripcurve, Ripspell -He who forgets will be destined to remember... Last edited by jvtrain on Jan 6, 2015, 8:51:56 AM

@nitro1914
Read the guide. Everything is explained! @astigto06 Chest, Amulet, Gloves (+Bow, of course) Maybe the Rings if you can get better ones or need res/stats, they're fine for dps but you should probably get the dps from somewhere else. Belt, Boots, Quiver and Headpiece is fine for now. You should get a duo/trires 1000+ evasion chest for some chaos. They aren't as pricey but that depends on the league. It depends if you got capped resistances and the needed str/int. If not go for the amulet, rings or even gloves. You got a decent amount of dps which is totally fine for early-mid mapping but there's definetely an upgrade possible. Try to get a 250-350dps bow (harbinger if possible) with critchance on it (+critmulti, attackspeed, accuracy. Whatever you need and/or is possible) Critchance is pretty important on an bow since it's scaling off it. Try to get a total critchance of 50-60%. But I would go for the other pieces first. Remember that upgrading single items isn't simple and you often end up getting another item which is compensating for the win/loss of the other upgrade, so play smart. Hope I could help a little bit. @jvtrain LMP should be enough to make TS viable for leveling. You should try it out if you haven't so far. Last edited by Purexec on Jan 6, 2015, 12:00:44 PM

Jvtrain if you dont have one already i would buy a death's harp great levelling bow (buy one with as high phys dmg as you can), im lvl 57 and still using it and probably will till i get a lionseye glare at lvl 66. The peregrine is also a good levelling helmet, use poe.xyz.is and search for items at 1c with online only (buy one with as high iir as you can). Should be easy to buy.

@Purexec
I just pick up a LMP yesterday so I'll start trying it out. Up until now I had been using Ice Shot->Fork->Faster Projectiles/Additional Accuracy/Pierce At this point I should probably go with: Tornado Shot->LMP->Pierce->Fork? " Thanks for the tip. I'm totally new to the game so purchasing/trading and understanding the mechanics of the economy has been a stumbling block. Used the the Diablo/WoW mechanics of the auction house and gold. I like the goldless economy but it's foreign territory for me. Just need to keep my eyes open and get used to using trade chat... Newb Player Jan. 2015 IGN: Ripcurve, Ripspell

" Better go with Tornado Shot->LMP->Physical Projectile Attack Damage->Faster Attacks. You can add Increased Critical Damage or Added Fire Damage if you get a 5link, depends on your Critchance. I wouldn't use Pierce without an Drillneck since all it does is make the arrows from the explosion pierce, Tornado Shot itself pierces anyway and that's not really an dps increase if you don't have: A: high enough physical damage (and only for large packs which you onehit anyway most of the time) or B: using Drillneck and/or (needs prove tho, never used it) "Projectiles return to you" from Tora. You're far better off with poe.trade btw. Trade chat is mostly used for single items or exchanges, like no one will sell lowlevel gear or wants to buy it imho. And most people overprice if you compare it to poe.trade since it's an actual market. (but you can make some pretty good deals nevertheless when people want a fast sell. I got a pretty good maligaros early this season for 30c, which was worth 1.5ex~) Last edited by Purexec on Jan 6, 2015, 2:24:50 PM

" Get a new 5l chest first with life and more evasion. Maybe get maligaro's if you don't need the res and the life. I would keep the jewelery for now if I was you. They give you good damage and you can still master craft life on one of your rings and a res on your amulet. In my opinion you should not upgrade your bow unless you can affort a 300+ dps harbinger with 8,5% base crit. Your current bow has over 300 dps and attacks fast, 9k dps at level 81 is good imo. When I played this build back in rampage I used a similar bow until mid 80's and switched to a 330 dps harbinger with 8,4% crit. You should not waste like 2EX on a 250dps harbinger with 7% crit now. You would not even see a difference from it at all imo. Last edited by dEus__ on Jan 6, 2015, 4:34:25 PM

" Great info, thanks. I haven't yet acquired PPAD gem as I've only been relying on what has dropped up to clvl 38 and quest rewards. Thanks for the tip on the poe.trade As you can see, I'm a fresh off the boat newb to PoE. Newb Player Jan. 2015 IGN: Ripcurve, Ripspell -He who forgets will be destined to remember...
