Gem, that increases critical multiplier, is called "Increased Critical Damage" (ICD). WED is good for DPS tooltip if you already put AFD or PtL or you use LA/Ice Shot. Otherwise it's BAD choice. It increased elemental damage only though, so you may need to stack more leech on gear to compensate. PtL provides shock, which may drastically increase clear speed VS packs. Its downside is that it cuts your physical damage by half, and so does your life/mana leech (you need to stack more leech on gear to compensate). SP (instead of AFD) grants physical damage boost, which cant be resisted and provides leech. However, some players find it uncomfortable to run with slower projectile speed. Your setup is OK, but i'd suggested to try other options as well (full physical with SP, and shock with PtL) for your AoE skill. And you netter go full physical with 1-target setup, as hitting 1 target doesnt provide much leech. im sory but im kinda dumb on these,which options do you suggest for ex.? i got 2x 5l so my single has SP AND AFD what i am asking is, what would you change on my set up? Pros of AFD over ICD: + tooltip dps + split damage more evenly between physical and elemental, making you less vulnerable to phys reflect. + a red slot give some versatility. It can be changed to LgoH, WED, IIQ, etc. depending on skill used or situtation. Cons: - elemental damage is easier to resist than physical so the bonus on tooltip doesn't mean much - less leech I'd say definitely go for icd on your single target but be careful with phys reflect mobs. On AOE, ymmv. Also consider increase crit chance instead of crit damage. Chances are it will give you the same dps bonus, but you will get more consistent crits. Ranger builds list: /917964 When two witches watch two watches, which witch watches which watch? If the witches watching watches watch the same watch while you watch which witch watches which watch, they switch watches; then, the watch switching witches watch which watch you watch. Watching witches watch watches is not for the faint of heart... Hi all Feeling like a beginner but having fun with this spec. Got a few exalts but unsure of what to upgrade, or if i'm doing anything terrible wrong :), any advice would be greatly appreciated. Things to change respectively(my private ranking): 1. Quvier- you should drop something twice better in 1h, or buy it for 5c or so. 2. Belt- get some rustic with hp 3. Bow- it has really low base dps plus bows have got cheaper lately. 4. Chest- mayby even most urgent but most expensive as well. From what u craft on benches I guess you feel you don't do enough damage, so take care of it first. I'm also kinda sure that flat phys would do better job than that lighting one. Burn all the orbs! Link it with herald + hatred. -Since you are using TS, use your 5l set up for single target, like frenzy/puncture. -You don't need temporal chain on your unset ring. You don't need unset ring at all actually for TS. I might have missed some other points. Maybe someone will correct me. ICS usually gives less DPS tooltip than ICD. But ICS also gives more reliable damage (which is great VS packs), more frequent freezes/knockbacks and refills flasks quicker. If ICS gives more (or even equal to) DPS tooltip than ICD, then ICS is no-brainer choice.
