You've missed it :). Here!

I wanted to check this myself, im looking forward to what you find out.

Also, I dont think that puncture damage on movement will get removed, they would probably mention it, it would be a major change. And it would remove a mob mechanic from the game, possibly even making remove bleed flasks obsolete?

Tested (only first/read only tab updated, will update the other tabs soon asap in the calculator).

Gem order (with drillneck):
TS -> GMP -> PPAD -> FA -> pierce (drillneck) -> crit damage

Gem order without drillneck:
TS -> GMP -> PPAD -> FA -> crit damage -> added fire damage (phys to lightning maybe?)

Added fire damage and Crit Damage are more or less equally good.

Crit Damage is still the top gem if your tooltip crit chance is 55%++. Under 40% fire damage provides around 5-15% more DPS.

Dear NeverSink,

Im playing as SHADOW and following your guide. It is really op!!

I have one question on the 1.3.0 skill tree-

Due to the nerf on attack speed on the start of shadow, should I still get attack speed nodes or physical damage nodes?

Please reply!!

Thank you! =)

I'd go for phys damage. Attack speed and phys damage provides more or less an equal boost with this build (~5:2), but phys damage is much easier on your mana.

Someone mentioned the bloodletting node few pages back...could still mean puncture has some possibilities? Other than 24% incr DoT the node also Has 20% increase in attack damage against bleeding enemies, so if you hit with puncture then start hitting with TS, will do 20% extra damage with the TS I assume?

So I'm thinking a 4L puncture, curse on hit, increased duration (for curse and for bleeding, is that how it would work?) and pick whatever curse you want might work ok?

The actual cluster has 58% increased DoT (for non melee) and the patch notes also state "It also gains more increased physical damage per level." so could even make puncture viable on its own still if willing to use up 5 points and depending on how much more phys damage per level. Will have to be tested I guess.

Really depends on puncture. If puncture will scale nicely, I'd say the cluster is not too bad.

As for a utility shot version of puncture: this might be actually a good idea, I'll give it a try and post some feedback after I get to test it over the next days. Thanks.

With the crit nerf i can life. I am actually aggree with ggg that crit should be nerfed. So extrem i cant think. And if i get 70% dmg from crit reliable without stacking critchance i can life with it. Dont understand me wrong. I am not happy with it, but can life with it.
A TS nerf i would hate.
What i dont understand is that they dont nerf flameblast. but since i dont like that skill and playstyle it dont affect me in any way.

I hope 4 is not a bad omen :-) and they bring additional patch notes after the big crying from ppl is a little bit slow down.

And a BIG thanks to you.

i am excited how you handle this thread.

You are the greatest, fastest and continuous thread builder i know in poe.

Thanks a lot for that.

Glad I could help. To be honest, I'm more surprised that ignite/burning damage wasn't touched. But that's ok, lets be happy this build still works.
Please don't PM me ingame with filter/guide questions, post them on the forum, after reading the FAQ.

you wont be able to craft the Hybrid physical%+Accuracy anymore, which means you ll have to roll it with alts or with regals.

Neversink,

I am the guy with the shadow question.

what if i don't have physical damage leech as mana problem?

Can i still take the attack speed nodes?
Another question.

since i have a lioneyes and crit will nerfed, is it then better to take the physical dmg nodes around eye of the eagle and skip some crit nodes ?

Or is crit overall better?

Take the physical dmg, since you are going for physical, armor will be less effective with bigger hits, you got more life AND mana leech (50% regen maps suck) + you don't wanna hit twice.

Crit wont be nerfed, only crit dmg is going to get nerfed(mainly crit dmg gem, nodes are only a slightly nerfed, about 5-10% overall)

IMPORTANT: Updates/Stream: Once the 1.3 league starts, I'm going to rush with this build. I'll start streaming again after 2-4 days. I'll be updating the guide here and there too, to provide reliable information as fast as possible!

I am also planning to play with this one in Torment. 2 questions though:

1. After the Puncture nerf, isn't it better to go with Frenzy for single target?
2. Playing it as the first char in a fresh league, is there a way to make this build even a half-decent MFer? Or how else are we going to start gathering wealth? The advantage might be playing high level maps soon and quickly, do we get richer by selling high level white bases? I never played maps higher than 74 (I am going to with this build, though :), so maybe there are other ways of getting rich than IIQ/IIR, in high level maps?

1)You usually don't need any single-target unless they are too fast to use your TS, in that case puncture 'should' be enough to deal with them.

2)You can run harder maps(rares) with this build which should result in better drops. My personal opinion tho, fuck mf, i hate playing mf :P you'll have to wait for Y0ur to come back and answer (prolly only between 1am-2am CET while we're waiting to get started)

I was wondering about if this build is viable anymore from the scion tree. I have a 78 scion and some nice gear (6L lioneyes, the helm, 5L tri res chest, drillneck etc.) , and the build looks fun. I am "down" 8-10 skill points to match the 1.3 tree that was posted here. So, is it worth it, gents?

To be honest i've played both MF and this build and the currency I get from clearing 68-74 maps with ease and speed is WAY better then the random unique I found running Dom/Piety and Maps with my MFer at a slower pace. This build will gain you wealth, no doubt about it. I played it in the one week race and managed to build a decent pool of currency when only playing semi casually.

With my mfer (420/80 IIR/IIQ) I did find the odd unique here and there which was great but the leveling/killing and general gameplay all around was just slow/boring. IIR is a % help to get a unique from a base item. It helps but having 500% IIR doesnt guarantee anything. Personally I would rather clear 4 Maps in the time it takes to run 1-2 maps with my Mfer.

Also you can try to find places to add MF to this build. The OP does mention Andvarius Rings, if your resist allow it. Rats nest has up to 25%IIR and no one said you couldn't have rarity where it fits! :)
