[3.0] NeverSink's ♣ INDEPTH Tornado&Archer Guide ♣ Beginner friendly ♣ Rapid clear ♣ All bosses

Dont see many questions answered. I thought Barrage would be stronger for single target than TS but so far it doesn't seem that way. I have Barrage setup in swap thinking it would've been a great idea but not so sure anymore.

1 Mana node (0.4%) For Build 1

I can only shoot 4 tornado shots... then run out of mana. :/ And yeah, this is directed towards enemies.

I haven't played since Torment. Can anyone PLEASE help me on what I need to update?

Isn't going for Rapid Assault > Avatar Of The Chase a bit better than Quartz > Avatar Of The Veil?
All this Phasing doesn't seem really useful to me

Chase:
40% attack speed during onslaught
20% attack damage during onslaught
20% attack damage
40% cast speed during onslaught
40% movement speed during onslaught
30% evasion rating
25%/15% to evade melee/projectile attacks during onslaught
40% incrased onslaught duration

Veil:
40% increased elemental damage
28% movement speed during phasing
30% evasion rating
6% chance to dodge attacks
10% chance to dodge spell damage during phasing
moving through enemies

edit: okay, with atizir's step, acrobatics and phase acrobatics Avatar of the Veil seems pretty nice, 46% to dodge attacks and 54% to dodge spell damage, but still, without it it's 40% to dodge attacks and 44% to dodge spell damage, I doubt 6% and 10% is worth more than gigantic damage increase in Avatar of the Chase.

I think the choice of phasing over onslaught is that against bosses, it's easy to have phasing (thanks to frenzy charges/quartz infusion) whereas onslaught is harder/impossible to get without specific gear (Perseverance belt imo is the most reliable).
Against non-bosses, clear speed is enough.

Yeah, you're right, yet I'm still not really convinced.
Anyway, you guys also have problems with maps on your level? I can barely survive those for 72lvl and I'm already level 74, all resistances capped and I also refunded 4 points and put them into Phase acrobatics, it helped a lot especially with Atziri's Step but it's still not always enough, maybe that's because I don't have CWDT+IC yet.
My tornado dmg is also kinda meh, 10k DPS with 6 frenzy and 3 power charges, not sure if that's good [lionseye's glare 4-link, hatred and HoI]

Well I got lvl 79 with this "build" somehow and must say that playing it is just a misery, I'm sorry for spending time on it, never played such unbalanced and squishy build before. Will recommend it to noone for sure. This thread has more than 900 pages and ts cant even update it normally with pictures and video clips. And as it was written previously skill tree is just a disaster. Dislike for sure. The only fact it became so popular is because of the filter, i dont have any other ideas

I feel the same way... It's sad because I'm new to the game and I wanted a solid build, but this feels rushed and inconsistent. I'm level 74 but I already feel the problems that I hadn't felt before with other builds, for example PewPewPew Firestorm.

Just hit 78 and I'm feeling the wall hitting pretty dang hard, tbh.

Curious if I should just move onto a new char or maybe see if I can switch this acc over to something else? IDK D:

Well, honestly, TS/LA-barrage builds are rather expensive and not that easy to level with. With the Boss HP changes, the single target is a bit of a problem (with really bad gear). However there are ways around that (knowing when to buy certain items, not focusing too much on boss killing). The AoE-clear should be fine even with a basic 5l.

There are probably better builds, if you cap the total investment at 1ex or so - but those don't offer the infinite scaling potential TS/barrage does.

Considering the guide..I don't agree with a LOT of item suggestions (Helmet, Gloves, Bow) and am not sure about the skill tree either. Starkonja's or a rare helmet with 90+ life and +1 barrage enchant are way better than Rat's nest for survivability. Same for gripped gloves / thunderfist vs maligaro's. Nothing new, really...
I'd suggest, you take a quick look at some other bow guides and pick the best package.

As for me, I've taken the lazy route with a "traditional" leaguestarter. Got some of the items I need for the switch/releveling, still missing the helm enchant + a second bow though (+ Kaom's but Kaom's can wait for now).
