2.3 Fakener (budget fake Mjölner) build - Trickster Version

You need Grace lvl 20 + Inner Focus, sir.

On that note, for those who are struggling with Accuracy on gear I switched out Inner Focus nodes for Acuity ones. Will revisit that when i find some GG diamond rings that fill my resists and have accuracy. I was getting some really flaky RNG on my crit rolls before this, long droughts. A lot better now.

The build looks nice, but I dont get the defense part of that build.

How do you stay alive without a lot of extra defenses?
For a melee you dont have a lot of life (170%, 4 uniques without life), no armour, only a little bit evasion, without those extra dodge and spell doge nodes, no block, no AA, no MoM, no life on Hit, no lifeleech except the tiny 1% from belt...

I am looking for a new HC build and this seems interesting, but doesnt look viable imho...

I would say this build is dangerous in HC (not that I know anything about Hc). It only becomes indestructible with voll's devotion because your immortal call is up nearly up all the time due to endurance charges.

That being said I was surprised by the builds survivability considering what you mentionned. Before I switched to LL and Vaal pact i would only die if I forgot to pop potions on reflect pacts. You have to be carefull of rare mobs that spawn in water because you don't see their auras, or of mobs like devouers who appear suddenly.

Yeah its just reflect that gets hairy if you dont flask. 1% leech is not enough IMO. 2% would probably feel really good. In HC it would definitely require some tweaking imo but not sure how much. Not having life on those 4 uniques is rough but for Rampage it's fine. The block chance from shield to spells is not bad. Really melee just melts if they try and get close. Only time it would be an issue is a melee boss that has high health pool. but still with %50 evasion its not that bad.

Hi , thanks for ur build 1st,

I was trying to migrate with my templer @lv84

using Pillar of caged god.
skill link: Cyclone - blood magic - LL - Discharge - iron will - CoC

was wondering anyone sharing discharge tooltip dps?
mine about 26xx with 4 blue charge. (lv15 discharge)

if that's too low I will just reroll another shadow for this build. lol
(4400 hp, 76/75/75, 25% block) have some difficult with 74map. 73 under is fine.

Can you not get to two +1 power charge nodes? That's gonna really hurt your dmg output a lot.

I think with 6 charges and how much crit I have my tooltip dps is around 7XXX last time I checked. It was a while ago though with a lvl 17 discharge. I'll double check again after work and update later with actual pictures.

And yeah 74/75 maps are no problem for me dmg output wise so its more than likely your discharge is not strong enough.

Also, what is your tree? How much ele dmg/light dmg increase you have? My tree ATM has 118%. 90% ele 28% light increase. Do you have EE on this guy too? EE really helps a lot.

Another thing too is that pillar's crit is kinda low. You definitely need the 6 power charges for base crit that low imo. I mean it could work but it will be kinda inconsistent with the crits. Plus that means you cant use Saffell's so you miss out on the +4 max to elemental resistances which is huge for reflect.

But if you're having fun then dont matter. I know a lot of players like to min/max but that's what i really like about this game is that you dont have to and you can still play the game and have fun.

Pillar isn't really a great base to go from. The build works best with crit attack speed and spell power. Caged makes for fun AoE, but the slow base speed and crit chance make it difficult to process enough. The discharge DPS is very misleading because your cast speed is actually your critical hits per second x casts on crit %. With charges my crit is over 90% and my cyclone is at 0.36 attack speed. Faster attacks and more crits increase your pseudo cast speed and actual DPS.
thanks for reply,

my tree got 12% ele dmg, and from iron will (5str = 1% spell dmg), i got 650/5 = 130% spell dmg rite now

my cyclone is at 0.47 attack speed. yeah, kinda slow so far (have some adjust from my current tree)

btw, cri unbuff (33.8%). no EE with current tree.

i start this build with pillar is cuz just got it 6L a few days ago. dont have a good coc dagger.
i also found one hegemony's era yesterday. maybe this will work with a modified tree. (current is focuzs on str heavy with pillar). but after all, staff can't deal with high spell dmg from minions. without 4% max res, can't do enough spell block either. guess the original guide (max res + hp pool) is the only option for late game spell dmg.

Here ya go for comparison and my dagger's not that good and netiher is my gear but im still melting.

Cyclone +6 Power Charges

Discharge lvl 18 +6 Power Charges

Cyclone +0 Power Charges

Defenses Tab

My setup
