That's part of GGG's hypocrisy concerning this patch. They claim to make changes to the Carto boxes to help SOLO play, but obliviously shunning down solo players' without realizing it. (The Divine - > 2 Exalt).

I mean i could be wrong, but these "2nd-tier-good" weapons wont cause much damage to the economy in standard, cause 2 ex doenst really matter there, so what the heck, lets flood standard with a shitload of 350 dps bows.

And i honestly think the 3 month leagues would be better off just finishing with the 1 divine cost.

Once more. In terms of drop rate, divines are actually more rare than exalts. Thereby, this change actually makes it easier for the (self-found) group in the middle.

Ugh, what a horrid change to Elreon's mod. I've been around since closed beta and this is probably the closest I've been to quitting permanently. What a disappointing decision.

Requiring exalted orbs for master crafting, but not offering a recipe to get exalted orbs, is just more evidence that no one at GGG plays the game solo/self-found.

i have to disagree, in every league so far i have found more divines than exalts. this league, i have found 3 divines and NO exalt. eather way, both of those are not that common. the change does certainly NOT make it easier for the group in the middle, because it does need pure exalts. if it was 80 chaos instead of 2 ex however it would be far more easy to achieve. still flippin expensive tho. and tooooo much!
same goes for solo / selffound players. chaos are easier to achieve than exalts, therefor a chaos sink is far more needed than an exalt sink. i cant really talk about standard players, because stuff there is forever. so what i am talking about are leagues.

i really really hope GGG changes the price. the first 10 pages should give them enough feedback.

When i have seen the podcast and Rory said something about the price changing i feared the result was like this. now it seriously seems to happen. worst decision that GGG has made for a pretty damn long time.

Ok I've honestly never really had a huge problem with the changes that GGG have made even if I don't agree with them 100%, but the Elreon meta mod currency requirement change is just the most absurd change I've ever seen.

This mods existence and cost efficiency gave hope to solo players and\or self-found players, hell even people that play with groups that hadn't gotten lucky with drops or that don't trade regularly and then you increase the cost from a single divine to not one, but TWO exalted orbs?! For two exalts I'll go out and buy a decent weapon. Having the cost that high almost completely defeats the purpose of having it exist in the first place.

I can't really say anything else that hasn't already been stated by the previous posters, but seriously doods, what the heck were you thinking with this change? :(

What I mean by this is that you're still using the extreme players to justify your changes without regard for the majority of player who are just playing your game. You changes here are in response not to make your game better, but to change the behavior of the game for a small subset of your player exploiting some flaw. That's not balance at all.
