" I'm in the same boat,don't feel like playing the game when this is the 3rd time they turn all my hard earned gear into mere pocket change overnight. anyone doing uber atziri post 1.3 will only do it as an achievement and nothing else,it was already 10 exalts per run when the gloves only drop like 1/30 or 1/40 runs and now the gloves are useless which is the main way of doing hard endgame content as melee. all these changes mainly nerf melee which was already shit beforehand compared to casters and archers. This isn't the way to "fix" desync GGG,its a lame way to cover a flaw in the game.I don't enjoy playing casters or archers and this patch completely shot down my hype and hope for the future of melee in PoE.. |

Wow, took me about three and a half hours to read through all the (mostly unreflected hateful) reactions to a brave move of GGG; brave because they seem to be the only ones - besides a few open minded players (ty Serleth!)- who actually think about the long term stability and balance of the game.
Sure, some builds might not work as before afte the patch. But "not like before" doesn't automaticly mean "broken to uselesness" as many posters here seem to forget. But a game as complex and diverse as Path of Exile needs to be based around a longterm vision, not the short term cravings of players to be OP no matter what. Respect, GGG for that bold move! " That is a absolutly valid Observation I didnt mean to imply that the game is now perfectly balanced. There are a number of parts of the game that still need Balance As you mentioned Bows are one. The gap between Melee and ranged build diversity is a General issue. I actually think that melee has actually recieved a number of buffs in this patch but People just cant see past the nerfs to block Chance |

Stop crying ! Be innovative ! when the acuity became the rarest item dropped by U-atziri noone complain i think.. It's a good thing they nerfed acroblock cause it's pretty normal to make people chose between acrobatics and blocks ! There are other way to enjoy the game as a melee just find ur own path !!!! I want to say thx again to GGG they made an awesome game !!!

" Who would even bother planning longterm in this game when after you put hundreds of hours into grinding your gear and character you end up with a trash build because of retatded nerfs. no doubt stuff needed nerfing but for every nerf you have casual people playing the game 2 hours a day struggling to get stuff to build their character the way they want it only to get smashed by GGG with these dumb down ten ton hammer nerfs. you make people invest time only to get pushed back because something ELSE is too WEAK.so instead of buffing other builds and items you destroy other builds by nerfing items to the point of those items being useless. Why would someone bother farming atziri now?10ex per an attempt,1/30-1/50 chance to get the gloves and guess what the gloves aren't worth the investment or even wearing at this point. just take vaal pact and use some other great rare gloves or unique gloves like maligaro and the like. This is one dumb patch and the ones happy about it are the casters/archers who hardly got touched and instead got some neat new gems to play around with. Melee is shit and will become even shittier. " No one complained because it made sense,acuity were needed to be a true endgame item and making it a rare drop of an expensive and hard instance was the right thing to do. The fact not many could get it is what made it an item many people aspired to get and like me set up a goal to get it one way or another. This nerf pretty much says play a ranged character if you wanna play PoE endgame or die to desync/reflect due to the lack of proper sustain.
