When are we fixing broken cornercamping EA

I have a couple ways to fix everything,

Reduce molten shell damage by 50% while adding a 100% chance to knockback from a good distance this giving atleast some counter against melee. Could also give 10% physical damage absorb on first hit.

EA wall stacking damage should be reduced by 25% while damaging the EA user by 25% if he stays near the wall, this way melee has a chance to go inside the wall stack and actually pray for a kill, the EA user gets a drawback from staying on his stacked arrows.

Penetration gems from 36% to 30%, i dont think casters need a bigger nerf than this, as i already lost a good amount of crit multi and mostly all of my block last patch, this should be enough to balance everything out.

Immortal call, should absorb 50% of incoming physical instead of 100%.


Remote mines should not give any damage boost whatsoever in pvp, even if puncture got nerfed i can still get my butt whooped in 1 shot with remote mines puncture on 10k+ energy shield, anything with mines should get it's damage reduced by 20% LESS. It permits you to either shoot or cast 5 or 6 bolts in one detonation which would normally require 3 casts or 3 bow shots to achieve normally and on top of that remote mines adds damage.

Another thing i want to mention is why life users have access to a potion that gives them over 1k life regen per second and on top of that they always have some sort of base regen. That is extremely OP, for us casters, with no other defenses than energy shield recharge, we are bound to running away waiting for 4 seconds for it to recharge, even that anyone can just use any AOE bow skill or spell that will hit us while running and it will cancel the recharge, pretty easily. And most casters dont have BiS gear so they have even less ES than most kaom's users have life. I dont see why they should be given that many free potions that gives insane regen when casters dont have anything to regen themselves besides praying that their current es makes them survive. Melee ? Np you can just pop the little flasks that will regen everything in the middle of the fight. This is what im affraid of if they nerf casters, how are we going to counter that regen, our blunt/shotgun damage is currently the only way to kill them quick enough so they cant abuse that flask. I certainly dont want them to add a ES regen flasks, i want them to nerf the current overpowered life flask.

To add up to the casters discussion they dont really need a nerf whatsoever beside MAYBE reducing the pen gem a bit, elemental spells finally became viable after being bound to EK for SOOOO LONG. Spells are in a good spot, people also have to think about players without top notch gear, you dont want to nerf something for it to fucking suck with mediocre gear and do decent with the best of the best gear, you want to balance something for it to do good on both sides. People are just basing their facts on players with BiS gear AKA Me or Shadowthefall when it's talking about casters, think about those little players without shav for exemple, ci casters or whatever those little guys that want to caster pvp can afford. Theres a reason why you dont see any caster with decent gear playing, because it is on the borderline of only being good with the godliest gear around.

Another thing i want to mention is a build requiring 100-200ex to completely dominate pvp should be getting nerfed ( EA for exemple, very cheap and very rewarding ) And a build that requires 1k+ exalts to do fine in HLD like most people have, cycloners, crit daggers, casters, some crit bowers etc. You gotta take that into consideration, you cannot nerf something that only does good with insane amounts of currency invested into it, but you can nerf something that does too well if it costs almost nothing to build up, and COD is in there with EA. On the other side there is build nerf, and skill nerf, some nerfs will affect a whole build where other nerfs will only affect the skill used, that also has to be taken into consideration.

shouldnt be recuded, should be less, will stay take down close to full hp on crit

also the pots wont help if you're dead from a 1shot moltenshell/cwdt/cws setup, though i agree with most you said

Molten already absorbs enough physical DMG on hit to not require any further mitigation.

I've demonstrated many ways to stunt es regen, its required to win vs es that you can't kill outright.

As for HP flasks vs shotgun DMG and all caster DMG sources at melee range....you can't flask fast enough no matter how good your gear is. Maybe for a few rounds but after that you're up shits creek without a paddle. The DMG is explosive, you literally are rolling the dice whether you get 1hit or 2hit so you have to flask at a the right times and most of the time you blow right past the low life instant heal flask mark and are dead. Game shouldn't be balanced around how fast you can heal, or about healing at all besides regen tbh. Healing with flasks is shit, I went several patches still abiding by my old school no healing in PvP mentality. Had to start because every scrub was popping flasks on me like rejuvs in diablo2.

Oh and how do you figure EA explosion DMG hurting the bower is going to help? What if you stick anyone and they jump your shit with arrows on them? You take DMG when they go off in your proximity....brilliant. Seriously if you let me into alpha I'd of put out a far better game. Some of these ideas are so ignorant. Ppl have little to no PvP or competitive exp besides poe. I have tons in many genres and understand the "little casual guy" and big bad perfect gear nolifer balance at the same time. Need ppl that understand all builds,options and counters and how this fits into a balanced finalized meta based on 1v1s, not teams, not sarn scrubville.

another "nice" expirience i had today was fighting against someone who uses CoC, specifically st-coc-gmp-arctic breath-fireball-fp while whirling blading all over the place, drops anyones fps down to nothing and you cant see where he is or what hes doing, besides that it takes that combo about 1-2 seconds to take down 10k hp... not even low life shavs btw... that shit is probably the most OP thing ive seen in pvp until now, along with whirling blades+ counter gems, cant do anything about that shit either....

lost 16 spots today just to fucking CoC spam...

i think i might be done with pvp until they fix this stuff...

CoC is annoying for anyone that has to come into people's face to do deeps, they will detonate everything linked to CoC ( spells with lmp or gmp it doesnt require much spell damage invested just the fact that it casts so many times on shotgun do a lot of damage ) So it's very easy to just link every spell you can linked to LMP or gmp and something else to detonate that each time you hit someone with a crit and daggers are quick. I have to agree that sounds pretty insane lol, the only way i could think of balancing this is limiting it to 1 spells casted per crit and not every spell linked to coc at the same time.

this for example would cast 1 fireball GMP or arctic breath GMP per crit instead of 1 fireball,ab,icespear, etc. GMP/LMP in the same crit. imo it works the same way as CoD or remote mines, anything that lets you cast too many skills at once should be nerfed in damage obviously.

( and yes it does lag your pc a lot especially when in shotgun range )

Have you even done the math on penetration gems? Penetration gems easily out DPs any added cold,light,chaos gem you can add to a spell or attack. At 30% from 36% it would still be the case. Just as echo makes faster cast almost worthless as a main support penetration does the same. I can have 18k base DMG and I'd still do more with almost half of that as long as its penetrating resist cap like it is now and like it would at 30%. Its no different from how multi strike is only viable on elemental melee BC of IC. Echo is the multi strike of spells and having limitless speed has 0 downside to elemental DMG unlike physical. Just as penetration > wed gem, it also > added (insert element DMG) gem. Unless paired together, its always best to take penetration.

The only real thing that would use of a penetration gem nerf is CoD, CoC, Cwdt, EA, remote mines, Molten shell. You would also destroy many builds, including molten strike life builds, any avatar of fire build gets destroyed and any spell that is not shotgun blunt damage needs penetration to do damage or it is just plain bad. The nerfs should be directed to SKILLS and BUILDS, not the direct addon of damage that touches many many other builds than the ones your'e targeting which can be fixed by nerfing the builds/skills themselves.

Tbh, spell caster got hit pretty hard from 1.3 patch block passive change on the upper half of the passive tree.
Who need block when you one/two shot people :p
Molten Shell is just fine, most casters got no defense against physical damage and they will be squishy if no counter against physical melee build // so to counter their molten shell you need to go for elemental damage and that solve both problems // no molten shell explosion in your face // casters have capped elemental resistance.

However, no use of molten shell against rangers


you guys want everything smooth for your high tier gears so u got 100% wins and zero lose. The game will be just so boring if its only melee PVP ( i have high tire gears/ high life / high damage) I should win

Regarding to CoC easily countered by Evasion/Ondar's Guile == you chose to go Armour/melee/unwavering stance --- so thats your choice other choose evasion/Ondar's Guile easily counter CoC while you suffer from it


Your passive points you choose how to spend it, and please do not cry if you can't kill everyone in PVP
