Enki's Arc Witch Memorial Page & POE 2 Arc Summary

I think alot people just aim directly for highend, but i wouldnt recommend that. Always go 1 step after another. Decide what you want to improve, than collect the currency. Dont rush to fast trough atlas, when you notice you have problems at red tier maps, stay in yellow. And just grind having fun still you have enough currency to improve your gear to do higher maps ;)

1. Upgrade your daggers to recommended ones. Hope you know all your elemental damage to attack skills ist not affecting us (0dmg improve).
(my only tip for crafting, when you hit solo 16-20% ele to Chaos regal without augmentation Orb)
2.Gloves give very low energy and no life. Traps and faster casting is nice but survivability over dmg.
3.Helm is ok, only quite low life. on a Hubris Circlet you would get alot more ES.
4. Belt is ok. Good life, flask duration, and good ES. Only Resistances are low. but overall good.
5. Why stormfire when you have an Inpulsa? other jewelerry is ok.
6. Recource regen problems? Do you have more than 43% Energy shield than life? means 4k life need min. 1720 ES. When not your Energy shield captures all dmg and you have nuffin to leech from.

Largely agree with KosmoKarmajaeger.

ES looks really lacking on gear. That's the first thing I noticed that would affect your survivability. The gloves are great but not worth it because of the base type; ES isn't prioritized as a mod on most equipment; not a single rare jewel with ES. I would imagine you're getting screwed from running out of ES--aim for 45% of your total life to be comfortable with it (43% is bare minimum).

Multimodded daggers are the obvious next step for big damage boost. The crafting guide in the OP has all the tips you'll need! Definitely good call on the sai though, that can really help with defense.

GOOD call on devouring Diadem. Take back the passives, don't go for aspect of the spider! Use them to get to more life/ES nodes, if feasible (can't view entire skill tree on phone). Personally, I would look into swapping out blasphemy and Enfeeble for Zealotry and level 3+ enlighten. That will make your dps go up quite a bit and also synergizes amazingly well with your watcher's eye and your sulphur flask, allowing easy arcane surge buff, providing even more effective damage. I'm willing to bet that the increased security of killing faster will offset the loss of Enfeeble, especially against bosses.

This is specific to your gear, but you're currently wasting a socket by not taking advantage of faster attacks support in your rh dagger. I would stick WB in there and temporarily shelve the gem until you get another dagger. Shuffle around gems and recolor sockets as necessary to put SB setup in boots so you can add culling strike to the setup (really helpful for tough boss fights). By the time you get a second multimodded dagger, you'll be ready to ditch decoy totem and then you can put the faster attacks gem back in the setup.

Regarding Stormfire, just ditch it altogether. Unless that takes your resistances below max, I'd just get a cheap Mark of the Shaper--even without an Elder ring to accompany it, it's still a way better choice. If this messes with your resistances, you could get rare ring with as much resistance/ES/life as you can find, or you can do what I would do and replace your gloves with ones that have high ES and enough resists to make up for Stormfire. See if you can at least find one with faster casting, since the extra increased cast speed from that mod still helps buff your build at large.

Ultimately, the build's light on defenses this league, at the expense of some insane damage potential. At some point, you just have to max your damage out and practice being as nimble with WB as you can, because you WILL die if you're not good at dodging enemies.

Good luck!

What a resourceful comment! Thank you for that notes Worder.
I'll be sure to come back to this thread after I implement those changes in my build.
Hey, began this game playing your build and really enjoying it so far. The only critique I is concerning the Impulas. I had no idea how important Impulsa is for clear speed. I would recommend you highlight very clearly how important this item is for the build because I felt very slow until I acquired it.

Also a question about my current character, where do you suggest I go from here? I will switch my dagger as soon as possible and get some better jewels, but what about the rest? Should I switch the boots and gloves?

You have to make your profile public. We can't see your characters.

I understand where you are coming from about Inpulsa's. Enki has emphasized this piece more in earlier leagues, but it costs so much more than it did pre-Betrayal that I think he didn't want to make it seem like an absolute requirement for this build, which it really isn't. He tried to present alternatives this league because people complained last league that it was too expensive (everyone's a critic, eh?). But yes, no other body armor can hold a candle to it when it comes to improving map performance. (You could probably make an argument for Eternity Shroud being the best for bossing, but that's like god-tier equipment).
I have (hopefully) made my character public now, had no idea it was private by default. I looked through some characters on poe.ninja and none of them have devouring diadem. I suppose that might be somewhere to start.

Impulsa was quite expensive, I think I paid 6 ex for my 6-linked. But it is so worth saving up for it simply because of how much it accelerates your clear speed and helps you make more currency. I understand now though why it's slightly "downplayed" and alternatives are presented

I managed to get this vaal arc gem as a drop:

I'm a mega noob, Never leveled a character above 20-ish before so I have a couple questions about it. My arc witch is only level 16 atm.

Is it worth using this gem over a normal arc gem?

Can I corrupt this gem to get it to 21 even though it says the vaal arc is corrupted?

How do I use it? Do i just kill with arc till I get enough souls then vaal arc then go back to spamming arc again?

Should I just corrupt a normal arc gem and use that instead?

You can use it aslong you dont have a lvl 21 Arc, for a temporarly dmg buff. You just activate Vaal Arc to buff your Arc.
But you cant lvl a Vaal arc to lvl 21. You only can corrupt a Arc to a lvl 21 Vaal Arc.
@Wetfoxes1
I'll reserve my judgement until patch notes, it may not be the best CwDt option for us anymore.

@Rockett1
At this point you could still resonably use the Vaal Arc gem if you want to, it's not substantially lower level than your regular Arc gem right now.

The way it works is it gives you two skills to put on your skillbar, the regular Arc which will work regardless of your soul count, and Vaal Arc which you can only use once after gaining enough souls, and then you have to charge it up again.

Vaal skills and all other corrupted items can't be corrupted again. You can level 6x Arc gems in your secondary weapon slots to corrupt once they hit Lv20, if you skip Vaal Arc for now you'd even get a 7th chance from the Arc gem you're using. There are a few ways to get a Lv21 Vaal Arc gem ingame, which are mostly based on too much RNG to rely on. The only somewhat reliable way is upgrading the Gemcutter's Workshop room in your Temple of Atzoatl to Tier 3 and trying your luck with a uncorrupted Lv20 Arc gem.

Quick reminder for everyone who intends to continue playing this build until next friday - i'll update the guide for 3.7 in two days, so please save yourself all information that you need before it's gone!

Yes, it's public now.

Devouring Diadem is fantastic for this build. Definitely keep it. If you want to maximize damage, replace Enfeeble + Blasphemy with Enlighten (lvl 3 or higher) + Zealotry.

Aside from what you already know you need (multimodded second dagger, jewels with life/ES, watcher's eye if you don't have one (can't see whole tree on phone)), your equipment is pretty solid. Other upgrades will most likely be incremental and not dramatic, aside from getting a Mark of the Shaper + an Elder ring. Also, make sure your unique flasks are optimized for maximum damage. They greatly improve our damage output!

What I should replace disciple with? Watcher eye and mark are out of my reach at the moment
