Hi all! I need some advice on what to upgrade next. I feel like nothing would get me a big bump like before (correct me if I'm wrong!). I just got the staff and currently only have ~2ex. I would like to have some more damage, but Duskdawn is not an option right now. Thank you all!

Mmmh you could pick a pen or light dmg watcher's eye for a couple ex
(damage penetrates % lightning damage while affected by wrath)

Also, looks like wrath adds a good chunk of damage over zealotry

Seems like this build has changed a ton since I last played.

I really don't understand why the switch to using the staff. I get that it gives +2 to arc's level but you lose so much damage compared to using 2 good 1 handers.

You do lose out on some damage mods, though the best one (elemental damage as extra chaos) was nerfed pretty hard this league, anyway. The tradeoff is, as you say, an easy way to get level 26 Arc, which is a big damage boost. More importantly, it allows us a 6L golem setup. The golem buffs are really strong--the best thing Elementalist has going for it right now--and we need a 6L to have 4 different golem/buff types with any kind of survivability. Empower in the 6L also increases the strength of their buffs, giving us more overall speed, damage, and mitigation.

That makes sense.

If I decide to play the league I'll try these new changes. Otherwise I'll stick with the super glass cannon version I'm playing in standard atm.

Thanks, I'll consider to use it instead of zealotry! Appreciated.

So you're saying that having empower with +2 level of supported active gems is better than minions life? Wont our golems die more often, or is the +2 level a mitigation?

Still, if you're anything like me, you won't be satisfied by the damage anyway.

I feel like this build has a cap and it can't really scale well enough to comfortably approach the end game without significant investment

I've recently done conquerors T16, Sirus, and the Shaper, and my current equip is as follows:
Spoiler

They're doable but it takes forever and it's not pleasant at all.
You have to be quite skilled (which I am not), patient (which I am not) and lag-free (which my connection is not) to comfortably approach end game bosses with my current setup

I kinda feel same with you, The build is great overall but lacking some damage in corner cases. Do you have any build suggestion or which build you are playing right now. I believe we have similar taste in the builds?

You both have quite a bit more damage potential. Particularly wasted & missing jewel slots, better staff, better amulet & rings.
What do I do with the 4x arc gems and Increased Critical Strike?
Is my first character on this game , i need help to buy Items, because I cant find the items on this guide on POE.trade , can someone help me, ? I would like to change gloves, rings, and neck if needed. got 7 exalteds. If someone want to help.

Well, you'll get more life on your golems with Minion Life Support than you will with a level 4 Empower, but the Empower will give them some extra life and, more importantly, boost your golem buffs. I think it's worth it, but I'm also using 9 golems, and increasing the base effect of their buffs has more of an impact when your golem count goes up. (For example, I'm currently at over 30% physical damage reduction, which would not be possible without a level 22 chaos golem).

Well my brother is playing the "king of all summoners" build, which is a necromancer build.

I must say, I wasn't interested in it since I'm not a fan at all of the necromancer playstile, but I've tried it and it's pretty fun to be honest.

Also, the damage and the sustain are insane. He can literally facetank the Shaper's beam without dying, and things just die so quickly. Kinda feels like cheating to a point, reminds me of pre-nerf WO

If you want something that's quite evidently OP, you could give it a shot.
