This is pretty much 100% what I belive about PvP.
For future reference, I'm was 3rd and 5th for EU and US point ladders respectively before i stopped PvPing.

I have my ungil's, and that's all i wanted. PvP brings me mostly frustration and dissatisfaction and thus there is no point for me keep PvPing as the majority of the events are 1v1 based. I'll probably tune into the swiss events to reap some more Karma Koins but other than that, PvP is done for me.

oh and another reason is im going on holidays! :D

You understand that using an aura or a buff is your choise and offers you some advantage right? Why activating it should not let you loose the invulnerability? If thats so then lets start every duel with all our auras. NOPE.


Why not? In PvE we are allowed to create builds that depend on auras for defense and offense without having to constantly recast them. This means that those builds depend on auras to be competitive: for example phys spectral throw and elemental spectral throw have similar DPS but one needs auras whereas the other doesn't. It seems arbitrary to disable these builds in PvP by forcing auras to be recasted at the start of every round.

Get faster cast rate and don't use 6 auras

The issue I was referring to was spawn camping where you die trying to cast 1 aura

unknown dude, unknown league, unverified demis. dont know why we should care.
If I may weigh in, casting 1-2 auras in PvP is absolutely do-able even if you get bum-rushed. Casting six auras in PvP is just poor strategy. Part of PvP is realizing that being ready to fight sooner, is safer.

I agree with some things from OP, but I do not like the idea of a separate realm for PvP characters. I think upgrading your characters gear with wealth is what most people loved about Diablo 2's PvP. Yes it's not exactly "balanced" but that's what makes it interesting. Of course severely OP builds need to be toned down occasionally, but If you play 1000 hours and I've played 2 hours and read a guide online, I should not just be able to crush your soul. There are already games for those who like to be spoon-fed gear (WoW comes to mind). I like PoE PvP in its current model and hope to see more additions/changes the way they've been happening.
